Actually, I was feeling kind of blah today, for no particular reason.
But then! A very good looking man smiled at me and chatted, all very friendly and flirty, with me.
I felt like a human being again!
You weren't buying a digital radio, were you?
It's a shame that some people have to get jealous.
I am smiling right now, and it's because of this beautiful breeze blowing in my window...aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh...

'Twas an attempt at comedy, SC....you obviously didn't see my thread.

Did you bring the tweezers?
But who'll bring the magnifying glass?
No, no, no! My thread is not like yours!
I went to the chiropractor this morning.... aaaaaahhhh.....
Happy little heeler-pitbull mix at the shelter. He's got scabies or demadex or bacterial pyoderma or allergic dermatitis with yeast infection in his ear, but still an absolutely friendly little beast. He's gonna make somebody a good friend.
Hope I don't have scabies now.
I saw "Wedding Crashers" tonight. That movie is f*cking hilarious. It made me smile, chuckle, laugh, and guffaw.
bobsmythawk's retiree yarns on Letty's Air Biscuit.
Ha! Guy my age near the Bank Centre, in dashing sharp-cut suit and tie - and an eyebrow piercing. I dont like piercings, but in this combination it was cool ;-).
Today I saw somebody who was apparently on his way to the Oktoberfest. He wore a T-shirt that said: "Instant idiot -- just add alcohol." (A Canadian colleague at work said that's actually a pretty old one. But it made me smile anyway.)
johnboy knew he was going to be in for a bad week: Family Reunion From Hell. His brothers/business partners would be here to second-guess every decision he has made while they sat on their hands over the last year. And when we go out to dinner, when the bill comes, they really sit on their hands!
A crisis today when johnboy, midst this, promised to have everything moved out of a house by this evening. I started on it, but realizied I wasn't going to be able to do it by the time the real estate agent came by to show it tomorrow morning. The young man who does the yardwork looked at the problem, went outside, got on his cellphone and 15 minutes later, two of his friends showed up. By the time it started to get dark and
began drizzling, we were done. Sweet.

Time to ask the question over here ...
an email from my bosom friend .
What made me smile today was waking up next to my husband, a man who I love and adore and am so proud of and seeing his handsome face smile at me and give me a wonderful good morning kiss.
johnboy, that is definitely smileworthy.
doglover, you lucky woman you. my sister just kicked her husband out the door today. not smiling at all.
Was nominated for a community leadership program. Had to get two letters of recommendation. Just got them & read them. They are eloquent and effusive. I am both embarrassed and delighted.
If what they say is true, I guess I AM a goddess!
Big grins here.

The sky above my Albuquerque home was filled with whooshing balloons flying over head this morning. The opening day of the balloon festival was delayed one day due to heavy rain the last two days, the most I've seen on a daily basis since I moved here in 2002.
My two dogs, Maddy and Dolly watched the balloons float by from our rear yard. Some dogs fear the sound of the balloons but mine seem to like them.
The balloon pilots often fly low enough that we can wave to each other and call out greetings as they head for their landing field about a mile from my home.
