Was going to go on a picnic with three (ex)colleagues - we'd given one of 'em a very pretty picnic basket (everything included) when she had her goodbye two weeks ago. It rained, so instead we ended up all at my place at 4 or 5, with lots of food, everyone had brought some, lots of cake too - there was so much food, there'll be enough for three days. And it was just totally relaxed. Chatting some, just random, outside on the balcony to smoke a joint, playing some music, if F didnt feel like talking she looked in a book, whatever - just chilling. And suddenly it was 10, 10:30 - that was pretty cool. I like being out with people but usually I get pretty antsy after two or three hours, wanna go home, be by myself, tired of making an effort. But now I was home, and they were all there too and that was fine, there was just no effort involved period, and six hours passed by in a second. Thats pretty good. They're really relaxed folks, two Italian girls, like 'm a lot. One of them will be subletting my flat, which is nice - couldnt be more comfortable with it, she's real nice.

Saw a bumper sticker today that said:

Quote:
God bless the whole world.

No exceptions.

Far from it, dear lord. Its only morning, 10 am. Lunch for most of us is still 3 to 4 hours away.

Successfully doing a system restore operation on my computer all by myself, allowing me, it appears, to be back on A2K and able to catch up on all the things that made yall smile.

On my way home from work today, I saw today's headline in the Munich edition of the Bild-Zeitung the largest German tabloid. In letters so fat they are normally reserved for occasions like Germany winning the world soccer championship or Bayern München winning the UEFA cup, the headline cried:

Quote:
Wir sind Papst! (We are Pope!)

Very Happy

a wee smile for a bumper sticker that said "don't believe everything you think" at the same time I don't want to ever see another bumper sticker..

until such time as there are no more bumper stickers, and then,
I will miss them.

I smiled when I found a way to get rid of rk.exe spyware that works like a worm and it was a free download too! Very Happy

The thing that made me smile most today was being at the breakfast table, being held in Sam's arms while sitting on her lap and her telling me that she loved me. Nothing like the look of adoration from a loved one.
