1:3 it is.

Just try it out.
One teacher = 35 years.
Three students of 15 years = 3x15 = 45.
Total age of students and teacher = 35+45=80.
Average age of teachers & students together = 80/4 = 20.

Sorry to burst your bubble, nimh.

LOL, well, its not like I actually believed things happen like they do in The Terminal - which must have been the most saccharine sweet of all movies I saw in a year. But there's reality and reality, and the bit you served is very dark indeed. But it's true - there's no surprise, of course. Heard enough other tales about refugees, asylum-seekers and other travellers of fate to know it ...

Thats how you learn latilatilas - compare the different answers you get, and find out which is right and why ...

Laughing No more details - because nothing happened. We did not even hold hands for one moment, let alone kiss !! I get the feeling that it will be "let's be friends" rather than anything else - I maybe wrong, but in any case, I am not interested.

In the words of Groucho Marx - I refuse to join any club which will have me as a member Smile

Besides, I am way too busy to even consider something like this. Relationships take a lot of time, and time is something which I don't have.

A friend of mine from Istanbul has sent me a congratulatory card for my new job - and he has written a passage for me in Turkish . Now I have to get it translated to find out what is he saying...

That made me smile !

Although I'm deeply disappointed at the lack of juicy bits, it sounds like life is very good for you at the moment. That's good. Very Happy

Just one more mile,
one mile left to go,
It's been such a trial
(Four decades or so)

So what makes me smile?
Surely you know:
The Red Sox won three
and the poor Cardinals "oh!"

I fled to the woods near town this late afternoon: saw a squirrel!

(Remember, you're listening to a Dutchman here. A rabbit is wildlife, a squirrel a rare species and a deer a once-in-a-summer event.)

Walking back to town in the dark made me smile too. Sound of the trees. Barking of dogs. University district over yonder putting up a pyramid of christmas tree lights.

(In between I tried my hand at writing a gothic erotic story. Not sure if I'm any good at it ;-))

I got a call saying my glasses are ready. Being a foreigner that I am I heard 'glass', thinking some telemarketer got my cellphone number and is trying to sell a windshield. There was a brief awkward conversation about how I don't need a windshield before I understood the poor guy is just trying to do me a favor telling me I can stop by and pick my glasses up. I was cracking up afterwards imagining myself walking around with two windshields for glasses... poor good old man.

Someone emailed me a job vacancy she'd seen that would be absolutely f*cking perfect ... (be it half way across Europe) ... but the closing date for applications was yesterday. Damn. I'd better call still tomorrow, huh? Perhaps there's still a chance? And then rush through some application letter? Confused

Dag's signature makes me smile every time I read it.

Every time anyone mentions the Red Sox I remember the sign a fan at Fenway was holding last week: "Of course it's cold out. Hell's freezing over."

Lots more smiles today....too many to count.
