Letty, I once went on a date with a guy who drove down from there.
As far as weather, it was nice and cool here last week (74-76 degrees). Today we had a miserable heat index of 99. Ugh. Smelly people in class.
osso, You designed an irrigation system? I'm trying to imagine that.
Well, Jo. Ain't it odd how folks who know folks know folks. <smile>
Er, that is part of what I do, Letty, landscape architecture...
I used to design hundreds of houses' worth of irrigation at a time, and would just as soon never see it again..
I've installed my own system before, have okayed (or not) lots of irrigation installation, am just a lazy good for nothin' now.
My, Gawd, osso. You're not just a pretty face after all.
Pretty face with big ears...
lol...and me? Small everything, plus a dead maiden hair fern, courtesy of Frances. Bird of paradise just goes...and goes..and goes...
Came home - and its "Utreg punk route" tonight at ACU round the corner, apparently - sidewalk fulla mohawks ...
The company does not need me to come in and work tomorrow morning after all.
My car is washed!
I admit I didn't wash it, but I'm still impressed with the job "shammy Car wash" did. They even opened up my trunk to polish the inside and dusted every corner in my car. The vacuuming job was average, but better than the one you get at WalMart when you get an oil change.
My mom will be so proud when I drive home tomorrow.
The same thing that makes me smile every morning when I wake up! A call from my sweetheart to tell me good morning and that he loves me.
New plants on the porch ... dwarf azaleas in full bloom, and geraniums! I smile when I look out there and see the gorgeous colors.
I really need to learn how to pick out plants for my back porch that are cool looking. Every plant I own dies except for lucky bamboo. We have one plant inside, but I really should throw it away. I only water it when there are a lot of leaves falling off/yellow.
It has survived a year though. Keeps coming back alive (as I wish it would just die already).
Jo, I have no luck with plants either ... they keep dying, I keep buying:)
Walking the dogs tonight.
My neighbour Joe is walking his little adoptee, Poupo. A nice enough dog, in spite of being a Maltee-Poo or Shi-Poo or some thing like that.
We chat. Bailey and the mop visit. Cleo is restrained. Cleo doesn't care for the mop.
I move on.
"Hey!"
"Yes"
"Can I train him to lift his leg? or is he gay?"
After I stop laughing, I tell him we'll walk Bailey and the mop together. Bailey even taught Cleo to squat.
I'm so bad with plants that when someone gives me a living plant in a pretty basket I thank them for the pretty basket. I have yet to kill a photograph of a plant.....give me time.
I would love a maltipoo or a schnoodle.
that makes me smile. unfortunately, FI said he'd leave me if I brought home anything poodle. butthead. i'm still shooting for a labradoodle though.
Baby and woman come into the gallery. I am VERY careful with the Pacc as I have heard him growl at kids as he will growl at dogs outside the car or door...
looking back, the kids, the occasional time he has started a quiet rumble, have been in contraptions of some sort. He also doesn't like bicycles outside the door much...
Anyway, I take super care. Very slow introduction, preceded by friendliness of me, us, to baby and baby's adult, though he has behaved well dozens of times, I have my eye wary for signals.
This is the first time I have seen Pacco and baby interact in a bubble, as it were. He was extra gentle, extra gentle, rolled over.
It was me that nearly stepped on the baby's foot.
