Thanks folks!

What a delight to drop back and see a bunch of my A2k favorites hanging out.

hi Osso!
you know my grandson Max has four grandparents that want to be called by four different names!

PGF = 'Poppi'
PGM = 'Nana'
MGM (my ex) = 'Abuela'
MGF (yours truly) = 'Grandpa'

PS hope you're doing/feeling well lady.

C.I.-
Boy it's good to hear from you!
Let's stay in touch. say hi to your lovely wife.

Hi! How's everything across the pond?
You know I've been meaning to ask you about your a2k 'handle'. To me (working in the mental health field as I do) nimh has always stood for National Institute of Mental Health!

Diane,

Hi love how are ya? I hate to tell you this but you wiped the smile right off my face. Why?
Well, I'm leaving on a trip to Virginia on 10/13 and not returning till 10/18....that's why.
You guys will be right up here in my neck of the woods and I won't get to see you....sniff... Sad

PS have a nice time anyway and give my best to Bob.

Ah jjorge, how sad. This means, of course, that you will have to come see us in Albuquerque.

Hi osso

Glad the weather has been nice there. We had a lovely summer here too. Now we are having beautiful Autumn days with cool crisp nights. The leaves are turning in their accustomed way and once again I remember why I love New England. How can you NOT smile with such lovliness all around? The peak of the season in these parts is usually around 10/15-10/20. My brother, who was in southern New hampshire over the weekend tells me that the leaves were at peak there and the countryside was overflowing with leaf-peepers.

My garden turned out nice this year. I put to use what I had learned in my former home and so my current garden is a very low-maintenance one. When I come back from my Virginia trip I've got a bunch of bulbs to plant. (tulips, daffodils, and grape hyacinths, mainly)

Next season I will plant some new flower beds as my little landscape evolves.

Diane,

I would love to. I have wanted to see NM for many years. I've heard so much about how beautiful it is.

I have to go to the Kingman AZ area in the next month or so but I have much to do in a short time and won't even be able to get to Phoenix to see friends there.

Perhaps there will be another southwest A2K gathering some time soon.

Anyway, have fun in New England and know that I'll be with you all in spirit.

Got a job at school, (one smile) and when they computed my GPA (to see how many hours I could work) it was a 4.0. (A big smile. Thought an 88 had taken it down.)

Congratulations, Lash! What ages do you work with?

The way the pidgeons in the distance looked like tiny rabbits. Sorry that's it, but my life's pitiful.

(Um,...nah, my smile wasn't that big! ) I'm just starting school, and my job is clerical, as a work study while I get mah ejumacation. But, since my life has been in the crapper for quite some time, this little gain in the right direction was on par with your "pidgeons that look like tiny wabbits smile".

But, hey, we smiled!

(And, thanks for the congratulations. It worked for me!)

As I was driving to the train station waiting in traffic at a light cursing to myself because the traffic was h*ll again and I had to wait forever at this d*mn light. I noticed this huge bird fly and land on a fence just feet at eye from my car. It was a beautiful hawk or falcon - since I am not a bird expert I did not know which. I had never seen such a bird in the wild up so close up. Had I not been stuck in this traffic, I would have lost this great opportunity. Put a smile on my face.

Soz! I thought of you the other night when I saw the poster from whence your avatar came. That's when I realised it'd been quite some time since I visited a2k & figgered I'd best check in to see what youse guys have been up to without me.
