Yeah, but c'mon, 1:1 ? Against a Germany that bad? I mean, being as bad as a Germany that bad?!

But yeah, he made me smile. Or to be more precise, the way everybody instantaneously jumped up from their cafe-chairs and started hugging each other, running up and down and screaming made me smile ;-)

Egh ... that link doesn't work, does it?

OK, either paste this in to your browser: mms://wm1.xs4all.nl/groenl/groenlinks-web.wmv or go here and click "campagne film (wmv)"

trying to get to nimh's link....

I was at a tiny little neighborhood park with my neice and nephew. Their mother had met us for lunch and then returned to the office. We were getting up to leave when I looked up to make eye contact with a guy walking his dog pass by on the side walk. He passed and then came back. Came into the park and walked right up to us with his dog in the lead and chatted with me for a while. It's the first time in a loooong time that a random (not creepy) guy has actually come over to talk with me. When he left a few minutes later, he kept looking back at us. It was the weirdest thing.

Listening to Sam sing a parody of "Take this job and shove it". She started it on the way to get building supplies, when she saw all of the out of state plates on cars, trucks and SUVs on the road.
She starts it, "Take your cash and shove it...

I got another smile from my daughter today about something she did. I had a small stroke last week and left the right side of my face limp. Well.. I am now talking out of the corner of my mouth.. she looks up at me and tried to mimic that.... it pulled my heart strings . It is flattery , embarassment , and just love all in one look. Strange combination.. but it was really neat.!

Another thing that makes me smile.... REMEMBERING san diego bay. I used to know a family that lived there in 92 and i would go every 3 mos and stay in california with them. SUCH a beautiful place . I am envious of you living there. Tell me about it everyday and I will share your smile! :-)

I found a little rubber duck at the store today - with a Swedish flag and wearing a viking helmet. Bought it for BigDice to put it on top of the TV in the restaurant next to the Italian rubber ducky.

:-) It's an Italian restaurant in Germany - BigDice works as a waiter there - and he is Swedish. Just wait for tomorrow's soccer game - Italy versus Sweden!

I called squinney in Oklahoma this morning and her dad answered the phone. As you may or may not know, he is very ill. I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was very happy to have squinney and the cubs there.

I miss them, but it made me happy to know that her dad is taking pleasure out of them being there.
