Hi nimh,

Nice to be missed.

I haven't been around too much lately -- call it my
'Dean Depression'.

I've been on the San francisco thread though.
About ten of us are going to meet up there April 9-12.
(now, THAT makes me smile! Very Happy )

Last time i checked it was going to be C.I., Mr and Mrs PDiddie, myself, Ossobuco, Blatham, Diane and Dyslexia, Georgeob, Lola and maybe ehBeth.

Hey A2Kers there's still a leetle bit of time left to make a reservation!

jjorge I was thinking of you when he announced he was out of the campaign. Know you are not alone in your sadness. Many of us feel like a tooth has been pulled.

It just took the wind out of my sails Joan.

I withdrew for a while but I'm 're-grouping' now and will
eventually help the Kerry campaign some. It won't be with anything like the passion and the devotion I had for the Dean candidacy though.

Oops! Sorry. This is the SMILE thread isn't it...

Let me see now ...oh yeh, I found a nice little breakfast spot three blocks from my house. It's actually a Portugese tavern - 'Club Acores' (ie. Azores Club) My new neighborhood is a historically Portugese-immigrant neighborhood and still has a large percentage of Portugese immigrants. I had two eggs, chorico, home fries, toast and a re-fillable cup of coffee for FOUR BUCKS. Very Happy
The guy to my left had a draft beer and a shot of Sambuca. another guy had an espresso with a shot of something-or-other in it.

A 10 oz. draft beer costs $1.25 at Club Acores.
.....I'm really getting to LIKE this neighborhood! Very Happy

An old friend of mine started shouting about how she would spearhead a 'm-orset' revolution, and about how not having the trademark black moustache undermined Mussolini.

I haven't been here for a while. I should remedy that!

Today I went with my neice (4.5 years) and nephew (.66 years) to meet their mom in harvard square for lunch. We were on our way to meet her where she sees her chiropracter. Silvi tried to say chiropracter all afternoon. She went through aerofactor, hydrotracter, chirocracker and chirocrackrope before she nailed the proper pronounciation. I was in stitches all afternoon (and am again right now).

Cute!!

Sozlet commented today that Papa wasn't very responsible. I said "huh?" She said, "Sometimes when I try to talk to him he is busy and won't responsible!" I figured out she meant respond/ responsive.

Also... she had an ear infection, developed in one ear when she was on her first round of antibiotics (for a sinus infection), developed in the other ear during the second round (for the ear infection), and I said 'nuff of this to the doc when a third round was prescribed and she's been fine, but we're keeping a close eye on things.

So anyway, she was kind of poking her ear and I asked if it hurt. She was chewing something at the time, and our basic house rule is if we're chewing, we sign, so she signed, "My ear not tummy egg." Again, "huh?" Finally figured out she was saying that her ear didn't have a tummy ache. Very Happy

Well, I shall join those who haven't been here very often. I have missed this place.

Dys took me out to dinner tonight. Nice little French restaurant. Two glasses of champagne, and I'm a little tipsy.

Jjorge, we can hardly wait for San Francisco! What a good group. As nimh said,

Yes, it's just the way I like it. Diversity makes things so much more interesting.

Litttlek and soz, your stories always leave me with a smile.
