I liked Deena, I admire a strong woman. But I have to admit she had it coming with her over-confident attitude.

Odd that, the same show that survivors were trying to eat bugs, that a bug was trying to eat Heidi. Turnabout is fair play, I guess.

When are they going to figure out that Rob is lying to everybody.

Christie and Butch are too trusting and out of the loop.

Deena let her power go to her head. She thought she could manipulate everyone. She went too far.

Hi Azue, Welcome to a2k. This week's show was not an actual episode. It was a summary with some clips of things we hadn't seen before. Mostly a way of filling air time without actually presenting a show.

Next week should be interesting. Who will be voted out? Matt? Christie? Butch?

My choice is Rob. We'll see.

Oh, glad you've been enjoying our updates, Azue. And welcome to A2K!

Roberta, did you watch the filler episode? I only watched part of it, and luckily that was the part that had a lot of new stuff about Christie. I'd been wondering for a long time if she was teaching anyone any sign, and so it was cool to see that part, and then the team using the sign "cheer" when they won that be-a-piranha challenge thing.

I was also really happy to see the Dave thing. Evidently he turned on the charm the night before he knew he was in imminent danger of being voted off. He was trying to get Christie's vote and was teaching her swing dance moves. She handled things really well, but then in a solo interview -- you know, when they are off away from their teammates talking to someone off-camera -- she obviously saw right through him. She said something like, "The attention was nice, but why now all of the sudden, why not the whole game? Could it be because he's gonna get voted off tomorrow? <eyeroll>" That's far from an exact quote, but I was hopeful that she's not actually as naive as she's appeared to be.

Why was there no regular episode last night? I was very disappointed. I watched anyway since I can't NOT watch it.

Heeven- except for the first season, Survivor has always had a 'recap' show about midway through the season. I think part of it is strategy to let new viewers catch up with what's happened so far; but probably mostly it's a way to make use of extra footage that would otherwise rot on the shelf, to pad out a hit show an extra week and get more ad $.

I never remembered there being a recap show for the other Survivors but anyhow if I can watch an hours worth of Ryan Seacrest and multiple ad breaks for ten minutes worth of American Idol, then I can watch a recap of Survivor!

I really hope that the sweetness and "no, you go ahead, that's fine" tendencies will pay off for Christy, though. The solo interviews show that she knows what's going on quite well, and so if people underestimate her, that's cool. But the whole thing where she pays $300 for her letter and then Jenna gets all weepy and poor me and pays $120 for hers because nobody will engage in a bidding war and then NOBODY GIVES CHRISTY ANY OF THEIR FOOD when every single other person got food except for her irritated me. I mean, if they're gonna be "nice", be "nice"!

Basically, you know that Rob, Alex, Heidi and Jenna held the power, right? They were laying around doing nothing because everyone knew they could just pick off Matt, Butch, and Christy. It was just a matter of time.

Well, Alex made a fatal error. He said to Rob, basically, "you know that when it's just the four of us, you'll get voted out first if I get immunity. Just so ya know." So Rob was like, I'm not in this game to make it to the final four and that's it, I'm in it to WIN.

So Rob went ahead and switched -- he made an alliance with Butch, Matt, and Christy and voted Alex out!!

The previews for next week indicate that the "hot" gals are NOT happy with ol' Rob... Cool

ohh thanks sozobe.. poor alex. he is in my list to win the games. Rob is very kind of intelligent (huh..???) person. he think fast and step ahead to vote out people that he don't like.

in Malay said, Rob is like 'bermuka-muka'.

Thanks again sozobe.. i never missed to watch the show. i'll be in front of TV 5 minutes before the show start. :-)

Wow. An interesting turn of events. Apparently the person with the power gets cocky, and then the person with the power is gone.

I wonder whether the alliance of Christy, Rob, Butch, and Matt will last through another episode.

IMO, this is the best survivor since the first series. Interesting twists and turns.

Soz, I was angry about Jenna blubbering her way to a letter too. My first thought was that if she's so worried about her mother, what's she doing in the middle of the Amazon?

I've stopped trying to figure out who will be the next to go.

Sozobe, BTW, sorry I missed your message last week. Yes, I watched the recap.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

I actually clapped at the end of the show. That Rob is smarter than I thought. Still ... he will leave a lot of unhappy people on the jury.

Imagine if he and one other are the final two?
Rob and Christy - Christy gets my vote
Rob and Matthew - the others might be pee'd off enough with Rob to give the money to Matt
Rob and Butch - Butch has been a nice-guy throughout, but I wonder when he is going to 'bring it on"

I don't consider the two "cute girls" will be in the bottom two. I think they are going to be next to go ... unless immunity saves them!

Roberta, yeah, I agree that this one's an especially good one. Christy is of course why I'm watching, but it's just plan innerestin'.

Happy to help, Azue! Have you seen the show yet? What did you think?

Heeven, yeah, I thought the exact same thing about Rob. How's he gonna swing it so he gets the votes at the end? But remember Survivor 1's Richard Hatch, who everyone but everyone hated, but then they grudgingly acknowledged that he played the game damned well. I can see a possible rift between the hot girls for example similar to the one between the truck driver lady and the other finalist gal ("snake" et al). Did you notice how P.O.'ed Jenna looked that she got "Most likely to use sex as a weapon" and "least likely to survive on her own", and Heidi got "Would most like to see pose nude" and "Who do you have a crush on?" Twisted Evil

By the way I'm liking Matthew more. He has a sense of humor about himself.
