I have decided to jump naked into the wilderness.

If you can give me simple instructions, colorbook, I'll try. (I'm on a PC, not a Mac.)

Okay, I will try.

Auk Ta Shaa took Gus to a nearby breeder to pick out some sled dogs. He'd better hurry up and get them trained before winter sets in.

(Psst...Gus, I think you oughta feed those dogs. They're staring at you as if you were dinner.)

willow, it is a goal of mine to see the Northern Lights in person one day. I even wrote a poem about it some number of years ago, and I might have it on this computer somewhere. Dare I find it and post it?

Let's hope that by the time it snows...Gus will opt to wear clothes. In Anchorage, AK it is 39°F

Okay, it didn't take me very long to find it. Keep in mind that this poem is old, and I consider myself a better writer now, and I haven't written poetry in a while since I'm not too fond of it anymore. Annnyyyywaaayyy.....

I can just barely see the two discolored spots on my ceiling
And I can just barely see colors swirling through the sky
The solar energy hitting the Van Allen belts
The solar winds shaping the magnetosphere
And I can see myself sitting in a clearing in the woods
Next to a frozen lake that's been that way for months
Where it snows everyday but it's no big deal anymore
And for some reason the cold doesn't seem to bother me
Sitting there and waiting for it to be midnight
But the time is irrelevant since it's been dark for days
And then at midnight
It happens
For two hours
I don't move
And they say you can smell and feel the electricity in the air
While it's flowing through me I think about everything I have missed
Everything I have missed while trying
To expand over everything
But sitting underneath that night sky thousands of miles away
All of the radio interference is natural
And trapped and reflected in the stratosphere
I want you to lie there and stare up at this scene with me
But I guess I don't have to explain
Because I know you understand.

O, I'm not Russian, Panz.. let me give you a clue:

La luna vino a la fragua
con su polisón de nardos.
El niño la mira, mira.
El niño la está mirando.

En el aire conmovido
mueve la luna sus brazos
y enseña, lúbrica y pura,
sus senos de duro estaño.

Huye luna, luna, luna.
Si vinieran los gitanos,
harían con tu corazón
collares y anillos blancos.

Niño, déjame que baile.
Cuando vengan los gitanos,
te encontrarán sobre el yunque
con los ojillos cerrados.

Huye luna, luna, luna,
que ya siento sus caballos.

Niño, déjame, no pises
mi blancor almidonado.

El jinete se acercaba
tocando el tambor del llano.
Dentro de la fragua el niño,
tiene los ojos cerrados.

Por el olivar venían,
bronce y sueño, los gitanos.
Las cabezas levantadas
y los ojos entornados.

Cómo canta la zumaya,
¡ay, cómo canta en el árbol!
Por el cielo va la luna
con un niño de la mano.

Dentro de la fragua lloran,
dando gritos, los gitanos.
El aire la vela, vela.
El aire la está velando.

Willow had my eternal respect since seeing 'I only do what my rice krispies tell me to do.' Her writing is beautiful.
