Sounds like a good plan. When you monitor what you eat, you'll be more concious of it. Certainly a good activity. Pay attention to (I harp on this a lot) how much you eat as you pay attention to what you eat. Your intake of calories should reflect the amount of activity you do (also including factors as your body weight, etc).

I would opt for exercise instead of a Diet...just have healthier habits in general and it will help a lot. I mentioned this in another forum but I've started a customized DVD program called PUSH that's making exercise more interesting if that's something that's holding you back.

The main problem with diets is that you get obsessed with them and when you stop, you're likely to gain back more weight than you lost....

i dont think I am neccisarrily overweight.. i just dont enjoy how i look in a bathing suit.. i would really just like my stomache to be flatter and everyone is recommending excersize, and healthy eatting and i do eat quite healthy so i was just wondering what kind of excersize could help me get rid of my "tummy" if there was anything specific...

oi! sunflower girls are supposed to have a tummy, its because you have a uterus.

Dont sweat it, in a bathing suit he's not looking at your tummy anyway.

ilovePOTO4life - go back to page 1 of this thread and read the first five or so pages. There is good advice on how to lose weight and some links to other websites that will tell you if you are overweight.

Anorexia is a mental illness in which the symptom is starvation and a fear of food. Bulimia is a similar disorder that usually results in binging on food and purging, only to repeat the cycle again. If you think you might have either of these problems you need to see a medical specialist.

I've read this whole Thread from pages 1-19.
To all the girls that are saying "I am __ and i weigh __ pounds and I am __ ft__" READ THE WHOLE THREAD. If you are serious about losing weight, go back to page 1 and take notes with Notepad. Theres some really good Advice.. but after a while it just gets stupid because everyones asking those stupid questions and not reading a single post. It gets quite annoying.

hmm, i was just making a No/Yes chart.. and i was wondering if energy drinks are considered as pop. Because I am simply addicted to them!.. and i want to know if they're considered good or bad for you.

Thanks, Smile

By energy drinks you mean Red Bull, not Gatorade, right?

RED BULL: carbonated water, sucrose, glucose, sodium citrate, taurine, glucuronolactone, caffeine, inositol, niacin, D-pantothenol, pyridoxine HCL, vitamin B12, artificial flavours, colors

That's sugar.
27g of it to be exact. Soda has 27g.

If you got the sugar free kind, then we're talking a different story.

So if i got the sugar free kind, it wouldn't be considered as pop? Or are the other ingrediants just as bad for me?

I'd say aside from the caffeine, the sugar free version would be better than pop. Water would be even better than that. Too much caffeine is not good either.

It's probably fine. You might want to snack some time in the middle there -- it's generally better if you eat more smaller meals than only a few large ones.

My schedule is breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid aternoon snack, dinner and then if I have calories left over from my day, an evening snack (not too late!). Like Jespah said, smaller meals are better...they keep you metabolism going all day and you don't gorge yourself at meals.
