I think things are a little more civilised here in Oz, sometimes.
A few years ago I went to the funeral of a friend who had, sadly, suicided.
I sat with my old friend, his ex-wife; my dear friend, his ex-girlfriend; and his current girlfriend.
Also with his brother, and my closest friend, his brother's ex-girlfriend - and HIS current partner and the ex-girlfriend's then partner.....
We did make a few black comments about the three widows...
