That is all most liberals have. They have no facts so they simply say that anyone who stands up to them is a fascist, or a nazi, or a racist, or a bigot, or a mean old poopyhead.

I do realize that you're a liberal and you don't resort to such. But you're an exceptional liberal. And thankfully not the only one here on a2k. But unfortunately there are also plenty of the more common name-calling variety here too.

I have challenged one poster in another topic in these forums, to describe how this current administration has affected negatively his finances, his freedoms...

I asked him if the economy in the country is going down, if there is prosecution to people, and so forth.

In other words, what the heck is he complaining about?

No answer.

But, he keeps attacking president Trump and his administration.

He has no reason to do so, but he just attacks the president with all his means.

I think some dudes here are getting paid to write against president Trump all the time. Hmm

I appreciate this discussion about the rise of Hitler, and I thank those who have contributed to it. I've been interested in the history of totalitarianism for decades.

We're living in interesting times. Some people seem to be unaware that they have totalitarian attitudes themselves.

Holocaust is the term used to describe the suffering and death of millions of people in ww2, and specially people who died in concentration camps.

The problem with Holocaust is that scientifically speaking, it's not possible at all the existence of gas chambers because those rooms lack of sealed doors and the proper exhaust system. You just can't improvise a room to make it a gas chamber capable to be used like filling it up with 100 persons, release the gas, wait for the gas to kill them, immediately remove the 100 dead bodies and fill up the room with another group of 100 persons, and repeat this procedure several times a day.

Such is peanuts.

There is no gas residuals in the walls confirming the use of the rooms as gas chambers. There is no exhaust system to remove the gas from the room in order to remove the corpses immediately. Neither to put a new group of people inside.

You must have to prove that gas chambers were technically possible in those rooms before spreading fake news.

On the other hand, millions of detainees died while working as "slaves/free hand labor" in German factories.

The cause of their death was the 24/7 bombing that the allies made using thousands of war airplanes for more than four years.

Germans used the system of having no more than 30 armed guards controlling hundreds of detainees working in manufacturing of arms, uniforms, moving materials in storage places, etc.

When the allies threw bombs to German factories, the damage to the German machine was immense, at the cost of killing millions of innocent lives, the detainees.

War is ugly.

And uglier is seeing the allies washing their hands and input the deaths to Hitler. The whole propaganda against Hitler as ordering the "Holocaust" is a big lie.

So, don't say I'm "denying" the Holocaust, it is just to recognize who caused it... and it wasn't Hitler.

(More fake news on its way. The fable that Hitler ordered to storage "all his documents" in a bunker located in the South Pole is the new attempt to release fake documentation "proving" that Hitler was directly involved with the Holocaust.

Russia is participating in this task to find such a secret bunker under the ice. Russia was one of the allies bombing Germany's strategic points, factories, roads, cities, and also washed its hands at the end of the war, allowing the fable that Hitler actually was guilty for those deaths in concentration camps.

The fakers have recovered old German typing machines, old paper, old ink, and are capable to produce fake documentation using even the recovered old official stamp seals, etc.

Hitler was a bad guy for the rest of the world, but he wasn't idiot in order to "storage" information which might incriminate him", so the whole fable of the existence of such a bunker is an invention made by the fakers "to prove" Hitler as the mass murderer.)

What is your view of Hillary and the DNC?

I think Hill would have made a fine president and we all would be better off if she had won. She's clearly not perfect but she is knowledgeable and experienced, which certainly would be better than what we have today.

The DNC tho is pretty incompetent. They essentially let themselves be bought out by big businesses during the 'third way' move in the nineties. The Dem party is still way better than the GOP but they have no true and easily identifiable identity anymore, being Republican Lite doesn't cut it. So they are failing to engage younger voters the way I was engaged when I was younger, which is troublesome for the future of the party.

@Setanta,
It's hilarious that certain people, who have no intention of doing any actual research into this subject, are presuming to lecture you and Walter, and to a lesser extent me, all while presenting a false narrative and refusing to even admit that when called out on it.

I don't know why I expected anything different tho

When dealing with that sort of person, I take a page out of James Stewart's approach in ROPE. I don't accuse them of anything. I just ask them to clarify where they stand on things.

@Olivier5,
Quote:
An interesting case of ideological purity among historical nazis is provided by the story of John Rabe. It's admitedly an extreme case, an outlier. Rabe was perhaps the most genuinely good-hearted Nazi there ever was. What he did during the rape of Nankin was downright heroic. And yet, this man petitioned Hitler several times to intervene, and got himself arrested by the Gestapo for doing so. In his letters to Hitler, he appears convinced that the Fuhrer, if correctly informed about the situation in China, would require from his Japanese allies that they show better respect for Chinese civilian lives... As late as 1938, he still assumed that Hitler was as well-intentioned as Rabe was himself, ans that the Nazi regime remained a positive force in this wold.

What people ignore by lack of information, is that before WW2 Nazi Germany had excellent economical deals with several countries of the world. One of them. as an example, was Brazil.

On the other hand, Japan was the king of the fish industry. Japan was a powerful nation, and it had an economical war with the West long before ww2. Japan even used its people living in other countries as "barbers, restaurant owners and employees, etc" as spies. It was an economical trade war. (And yes, this is the reason (spies) why the US isolated Japanese people during WW2. It was hard to discover who was the spy, so better to isolate most of them)

When the war started, England oppressed every country making deals with Nazi Germany. England imposed the lower prices for materials needed for war. While Nazi Germany was paying a fair price on the other hand England obligated other countries to stop business with Germany and sell their goods to England at the lowest price offered, otherwise England shall enforce a boycott against these other countries and look for goods in other parts of the world.

WW2 was an ugly war.

Luckily at the end, the world recovered itself and we have now a prosperous future for winners and losers of that war.

And this is the real lesson to be learned, that after the storm, recovery and prosperity should reach to everybody.

To me, makes no sense at all remembering with hatred the events of the past.

The past is the past, and people remembering the bad things of the past can't enjoy the present.

For this reason I feel pity for those who still crying for deaths happening 70 years ago. Such pain is sick.

I enjoy the current president Trump's administration bringing good economy and peace to the country, I won't waste my life remembering abuses happening decades ago, or centuries ago.

@Cycloptichorn,
An uncle of mine who served in Europe during the war commanded the troops who liberated Dachau. He once said the bloodshed his troops had experienced in combat had hardened them, but they were still shocked by what they saw in the camp. I can imagine what my uncle would say to cameronleon if he were alive today.

You are correct and I do agree with what your uncle told you.

Unfortunately, I think nobody asked him in what conditions were the surroundings when he arrived to that concentration camp.

The roads were destroyed, in his way to the concentration camp the factories around were destroyed, cities were destroyed, centers of storage were destroyed, water suppliers were destroyed.

None of the above were destroyed by Germans.

If everything around was destroyed because the Allies pointed them as "targets" to be bombed, how do you think food and medicines will arrive to that concentration camp?

Please explain or at least "imagine" about it.

Talking about Mrs. Clinton, making holocaust denial claims, leading a pro-Plump cheer-leading rally--none of those are germane to the topic. It is a standard tactic of polemicists to attempt to divert discussions which make them uncomfortable. Clinton is not the topic, holocaust denial is not the topic, President Plump is not the topic. The prospect of fascism in the United States is. Camperlion is obviously not a native speaker of English; I doubt that it is a citizen of the United States.

The Chappaqua Blue Racer, Hillary Clinton, does not fool us. Her appearance at Brooklyn, Wisconsin is the town linking the only American female Hitler ever signed the death warrant for: Ruth Harnack. HC's appearance was at the Methodist mafia building, so we would like to hear from those who might wish to complain to the Creek Nation about how unjust this thread is. Chappaqua Blue leaves the capital of Wisconsin after a speaking engagement, and a food court on the UW campus reverts to electronic card-only to pay for food, reminiscent of SOE prisoners at Dachau. 666 kuklos exothen, the Jasenovac archives are located at (DHS) Fayetteville, Arkansas. You're surprised that crotch-clown Billy was involved in talks at Dayton, Ohio?
