BREAKING: Twitter’s Collusion With Democrats Confirmed In Explosive Bombshell Reveal

Excerpt:

After successfully strong-arming Twitter away from Left-wing radicals that turned the platform into a propagandistic echo chamber, Elon Musk had promised that transparency and accountability would be major goals moving forward. It seems as if the Tesla and SpaceX founder is holding true to his word, as he’s just unleashed a slate of internal company documents proving what everyone on the Right already suspected – Twitter took its marching orders from the Democratic Party.

Long thought (falsely) to be the voice of free speech and civil liberties in America, the Democratic Party has since mutated into a twisted parallel of the 20th century’s most insipid and revolting fascist regimes. Indeed, the march towards fascism occurred with startling pace, and seamless cadence. Almost overnight, free speech became antithetical to the Democratic Party’s ideology. Today, it has become a major threat to party power.

Matt Taibbi’s Twitter feed is blowing up today, thanks to a series of numbered tweets that, even while I write this article, are still being populated. Taibbi breaks down the open collusion between the old Twitter guard, and the Democratic Party, the latter of which held enormous amounts of political influence in an attempt to control information, and peddle any narrative the party desired.

(A tweet thread from Matt Taibbi's Twitter account, Dec 3, 2020: Specific tweets of Taibbi’s appear in this article)

Taibbi reveals that Twitter also took direction from the Democratic Party when it came to suppressing and blocking the accounts of particular celebrities it didn’t like, such as James Woods. Taibbi states “Celebrities and unknowns alike could be removed or reviewed at the behest of a political party.” The Right-wing actor has been an important vocal critic against the predations of the censorious Left, and has never shied away from exposing their hypocrisy.

Taibbi also revealed that the censorship tools in question were available to both Democrat and Republican parties, pointing out that the Trump White House also made several such requests. However, the frequency of these requests was lopsidedly in favor of Democrats, and Taibbi points this out via party campaign contributions.

Later, Taibbi touches on the infamous Hunter Biden laptop scandal, and the efforts Big Tech – particularly Twitter – played in mothballing the story just a month out from the 2020 Presidential election. Polls have shown that if voters had known about the story beforehand, they would have changed their vote accordingly. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop Twitter. According to Taibbi, then-CEO Jack Dorsey wasn’t even made aware of the decision to bury the story, which is telling.

The tweet thread mentions head of legal, policy and (ironically) trust, Vijaya Gadde, as “playing a key role.” Gadde is best-known for her red-faced deflection tactics towards political YouTube pundit Tim Pool when the two, along with Jack Dorsey, shared a roundtable discussion on The Joe Rogan Experience.

RELATED: Japanese Twitter Users Report Political Content No Longer Being Pushed Into Their Feeds Following Elon Musk Takeover

The blowback against Twitter was enormous, yet Democrats either downplayed the scandal, or refused to chime in on it. In fact, according to Taibbi, the only Democrat in Congress who even mildly brought it up was Senator Ro Khanna, who is known for being one of the more reasonable and moderate voices in the party. Credit should be given to Senator Khanna for reminding Gadde that Twitter’s suppression of the story was a violation of First Amendment principles.

Even Peter Daou, a former Clinton staffer, was not surprised by the revelation on Taibbi’s feed. His remarks echo what a large majority of the country already thinks and knows, which just goes to show the sorry state of politics in the United States in the modern age.

(Daou’s tweet is printed)

Daou may be right, but the irrefutable fact is that Democrats are the party that has weaponized Big Tech for nefarious goals that go far beyond covering up the occasional embarrassing story. From their perspective, Twitter was the perfect outlet to spew anti-Right propaganda, while simultaneously letting them paint themselves in the most glamorous light possible.

Twitter, aptly dubbed the “digital town square,” was largely staffed with radicalized Left-wingers who didn’t see the Democratic Party’s march towards totalitarianism as a problem. Rather, they went along with it, grinning ear-to-ear After the departure of weird wannabe-cult-of-personality figure Jack Dorsey – who admitted to partaking in the California-led fad of intermittent fasting, as well as “vipassana,” a “painful” 2-hour form of daily meditation – the day-to-day operations of Twitter were left in the hands of replacement CEO Parag Agrawal.

Agrawal is far from the odd man out in Leftist circles. The radicalism that has infected the Left, and the Democratic Party by extension, says this kind of thing on a routine, daily basis. Free speech is no longer the backbone of a free and fair society. Rather, it’s one side cramming down their opinions and views on everyone else, and cudgeling them by force into either agreeing, or canceling them from the conversation.

This is scary, frightening stuff, and it mimics the kind of things that the Democratic Party has been openly cheering in the last few years. The mass rioting of 2020, which spread across the country like wildfire and engulfed many of America’s Democrat-run cities and jurisdictions, was openly praised by sitting members of Congress. “Fiery, but most peaceful” became the gaslighting mantra of the year, and as the violence ticked up, Democrats buried their heads in the sand.

Across the spectrum, the Democratic Party and the Left have moved in sequence, vomiting out incendiary and violent rhetoric that has led to civilians and police being murdered in the streets, and an estimated $5 billion dollars in uninsured property damage in the space of the last 2 years alone. The trickle-down effect, of course, has been a rampant rise in violent crimes and felonies that have become chronic in places like Portland, San Francisco, and New York, to name but a scant few.

Caldron Pool put together an excellent, eye-opening montage of the overt hate speech and calls for actual, literal violence and murder on the part of Left-wing pundits, celebrities, and members of the Democratic Party. It’s a shocking parallel of the rise of Nazi Germany and its influence over various countries who, at least in the beginning, shared in its hate-mongering. The video can be seen below:

This should frighten anyone with a moral compass, and then some. At the same time that the Democratic Party was forcing Twitter and other Big Tech giants to do its bidding – which didn’t exactly take a lot of convincing, if we’re honest – they were spewing this kind of rhetoric from multiple soapboxes across the spectrum of media and publishing.

Of course, this is nothing new. As far back as 2017, Democrats were hurling open threats against tech companies like Twitter, threatening to regulate them from the top down unless they did the party’s bidding. Under the guise of trying to crack down on “Russian propaganda,” which turned out to be a molehill instead of a mountain, Senators like Dianne Feinstein of California (of course) spread fear-mongering about foreign influence and the beginning of “cyber warfare.”

Meanwhile, the Ayatollah of Iran was allowed to hurl overt anti-semitic propaganda and calls for violence and totalitarianism from the comfort of his Twitter account, and calls for his removal were ignored by Twitter. Not a single Democrat in Congress had the stones to challenge it. Their hope, of course, was to restart nuclear talks with the terrorist state of Iran the moment the next Democrat President was sworn in.

What’s interesting about Feinstein’s threat against Twitter is that she blamed the company for allowing the very same thing that Democrats were in favor of – spreading propaganda, forging false narratives, and burying anything that might damage the party’s reputation. Democrats are no different from Putin and his thuggish government, North Korea under Kim Jong Un, Justin Trudeau’s financial control over Canadian media, or the Chinese Communist Party.

But, I digress. Under the direction of Elon Musk, Twitter has cracked open its own closet and yanked every single skeleton into the spotlight, kicking and screaming the entire way. This is a good thing, and it’s meant to shine a light on the kind of draconian imperialism being thrust upon America by a fascistic Left that seeks to mimic Communist China’s crackdown on free speech, while pushing for things like Federal cryptocurrency and social credit scores.

To summarize, I’d like to point out the altogether frightening ease at which Left-wing governments slide so comfortably into totalitarianism and tyranny, like a warm bath. History has shown time and time again that Left-wing dictators like Mussolini, Hitler and Mao Zedong built a name for themselves by creating a false façade of benevolence. Then, over time, they slow-dripped a poisonous cocktail of hatred, resentment, radicalism and violence into the minds of the populace. Before citizens knew what was happening, it was already too late.

For those who think I’m being overzealous, hyperbolic, or a paranoid conspiracy theorist, it’s wise to remember the parallels:

Modern Leftists think capitalism is an evil that brings about misery and inequality. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Modern Leftists push for extremist policies, such as abolishment of property rights. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Modern Leftists believe children belong to the State, who can override parental decisions. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Modern Leftists believe that indoctrinating children in state propaganda should be mandatory. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Modern Leftists cheer brown shirt-style mob violence and intimidation in the streets. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Modern Leftists believe that identity politics is a central tenant of their ideology. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Modern Leftists either look the other way on anti-semitism in their own ranks, or cheer it openly. So did Hitler and the Nazis.

Sure, Democrats aren’t throwing their political opponents and hated groups into furnaces, concentration camps and in front of firing squads….yet.

@Walter Hinteler,
Sadly for the Democrats and their paid mouthpieces in MSM, their proven unconstitutional, anti-democratic embrace of fascism is leading freedom-loving Americans to find sources not controlled by the DNC. Fox and whatever you deem alt right will probably experience a big boon.

People have to get the facts somewhere.

Will enjoy watching this.

Celebrities and regular people who suffered losses due to the DNC/Twitter collusion are already mounting a class action suit against the DNC.

Justice.❤️

I wonder if Nancy stepping down was her attempt to dodge legal responsibility for the collusion in the election and curtailment of selected speech.

Elon Musk’s ‘Twitter Files’ Bombshell Goes Off Not With a Bang, But a Whimper

Quote:
In a lengthy Twitter thread Friday night, journalist Matt Taibbi released information from files provided to him by Elon Musk. The new owner of the social media platform had promised transparency about past content moderation decisions that occurred during the 2020 campaign, in particular, of the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story, which he sees as ground zero in a national discussion about free speech and the First Amendment.

First, some necessary background…In October 2020, just weeks before Election Day, the Post published a salacious story about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop. The information came to them via Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney to then-President Donald Trump, in the form of a hard drive with information taken from the computer, said to be left at a Delaware computer store.

The vast amount of information revealed at that time from the laptop has since been verified as legitimate. But at the time, given the provenance of the information and Giuliani’s disinclination to share the source material with any other news outlets, the story was met with great skepticism. Outlets chose not to aggregate the Post report and followed warnings from former US Intelligence officials who signed a letter saying that the Hunter data had all the markings of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Twitter got involved in the story in a pretty significant way. First, the platform suspended the Twitter account of the Post. It also deleted and suspended anyone who shared the story. Twitter eventually reversed that decision and reactivated the New York Post Twitter account along with countless others banned for sharing the Hunter Biden story. Then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted during a congressional hearing that they made a mistake and had they done it all over, they would have handled it differently.

Many conservatives saw that as cold comfort, arguing that had the story not been banned and largely ignored by most news outlets, Trump would have won the 2020 election. There are no facts that support that idea, only feelings. In fact, if I may speak feelingly: the story arguably received far more attention because it was censored by Twitter. Ever since the aggressive moderation of the laptop story has been used as a larger cudgel by conservatives convinced that “Big Tech” is creating an unfair landscape.

Former President Trump weighed in on the new revelations from Musk in a statement on Truth Social, “So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION.”

No, there will be no new election, nor do you declare a new winner. But this is the sort of outrage that was created by Taibbi’s thread.

The outrage has been stoked by Musk himself, who gleefully previewed and promoted its revelations.

Matt Taibbi is a well-respected journalist known for his iconoclastic takes. Conservatives love to call him a progressive or liberal writer, though most progressives and liberals I know really want nothing to do with him. It’s this outlier status in today’s Balkanized political media ecosystem that explains why Musk chose him to report on the files.

Now, to the story itself.

On his TK News Substack, Taibbi wrote:

The last 96 hours have been among the most chaotic of my life, involving multiple trips back and forth across the country, with a debate in Canada in between. There’s a long story I hope to be able to tell soon, but can’t, not quite yet anyway. What I can say is that in exchange for the opportunity to cover a unique and explosive story, I had to agree to certain conditions.

It is not clear what his conditions were. Again, Taibbi has —in the past at least — enjoyed some level of bipartisan respect (and animus), so there isn’t a clear history of hackery to be skeptical about the conditions apart from traditional journalistic standards. If he cannot explain Musk’s “conditions,” then it’s difficult to take his reporting as much more than a public relations narrative. More on that later…

So Taibbi dropped a Twitter thread featuring roughly three dozen tweets. The vast majority outline stuff that was already known, that the laptop tweets were blocked due to a “hacked information” standard that raises an entirely other conversation about what information is “hacked” and what is not. One person’s “whistleblower” is another person’s leaker…

The key tweet was the eighth in the thread and the one that conservatives have largely pounced on:

8. By 2020, requests from connected actors to delete tweets were routine. One executive would write to another: “More to review from the Biden team.” The reply would come back: “Handled.” pic.twitter.com/mnv0YZI4af

— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 2, 2022

This is clear evidence of First Amendment infringement, some vocal conservatives have proclaimed. Buck Sexton even called for the impeachment of President Joe Biden based on the tweet.

A few crucial details prove Sexton’s folly.

The screenshot that Taibbi shared is clearly dated October 24th, 2020. Joe Biden was not president at the time. His team reaching out to have tweets removed was a campaign issue, not a government one. David French made this very point on Twitter:

Musk is referring here to Biden team requests to remove pornographic pictures of Hunter. Biden was not president in 2020, and therefore there was no government involvement in his campaign's requests. The First Amendment is not implicated when only private actors are involved. https://t.co/vVsGweKYEC

— David French (@DavidAFrench) December 3, 2022

Moreover, it’s been widely reported that many of the links the Biden team asked Twitter to remove were pornographic photos of Hunter Biden — a fact omitted by Taibbi — in violation of Twitter’s standards.

The celebrating from the right has also ignored Taibbi’s revelation in the tenth tweet in the thread:

10.Both parties had access to these tools. For instance, in 2020, requests from both the Trump White House and the Biden campaign were received and honored. However:

— Matt Taibbi (@mtaibbi) December 2, 2022

Now he uses this note as a setup to reasonably point out that there is a clear political bias among Twitter’s staff, which he illustrates by political donations from staffers. But he also reports that the Trump White House requested tweets to be removed that were “received and honored” by Twitter. If Biden’s requests in October of 2024 raise a red flag, then surely the same standard should be held to Trump.

Now it’s almost certain that the Biden White House has continued a dialog with Twitter about inflammatory tweets. Nearly every significant media outlet and institution has a relationship with Twitter — it is how they do business. It is NOT clear, however, that the Biden White House has engaged explicitly in requests for censorship as Taibbi appears to be suggesting.

In short, this “bombshell” Friday night reveals is remarkably short on bombshells. Or, as New York Post writer and frequent Fox News guest Miranda Devine flatly said to Tucker Carlson, there was “not really the smoking gun we had hoped for.”

Now Taibbi has promised more information to come. And what he reported Friday night is a fascinating look at how executives at Twitter inserted themselves into partisan debates in a manner that we’ve never seen before, because, well, weaponized social media information (on both sides) is part of a brave new world we are all trying to get a grip on.

Again, we don’t know what “conditions” Taibbi agreed to. We do know that his ballyhooed Twitter files thread was short on facts and long on a narrative that suits Elon Musk and conservatives that have been quick to deify his “first amendment” rights position.

So if this is part of a deeply cynical PR campaign, then why would Musk employ Taibbi to engage? What’s the upside?

Well, Twitter has become an exciting place under Musk’s leadership for good and bad reasons. And that’s in large part to Musk’s effective carnival barking. He’s calling attention to the spectacle and, at the same time, appealing to a conservative audience who had grown deeply skeptical of Twitter and essentially believed that there were conspiracies afloat. We usually use the term “conspiracy theorist” dismissively, but if some conspiracy theories are accurate, is it paranoia?

I spoke with Mediaite founder, and all-around very smart guy, Dan Abrams about this convoluted story, and he said “It is stunning that with access to all the internal e-mails at Twitter that they don’t have a single smoking gun that implicates a government leader or even any campaign in wrongdoing. Even before Musk’s characterization of what was there, I expected there would be something more damning. . . from someone relevant.”

Requests to take down private porn don’t implicate the first amendment, they don’t suggest a grand effort at censorship and they certainly don’t prove a conspiracy to impact the outcome of the election. Heck, gawker got put out of business for publishing improperly accessed private porn.

Yeah, "everyone", okay.

Btw, most experienced research journalists begin by giving an overview of a huge trove of documents. And then patiently and painstakingly, deliver details with cohesiveness.

Then why accept a particular interpretation based on 'nothing burger' tweets before this "huge trove of documents" has been carefully studied, all the quoted authors contacted and interviewed, and a detailed summation released? There's such a rush to judgment – just because a story makes the DNC look bad, implicates Hillary, or embarrasses Pelosi that doesn't prove that it's true, no matter how closely it comports with your political perspective or how gleefully you respond to it. How is it any different from the "shitlibs" who eagerly consume every media story about Trump and Russia?

@Lash,
I had the good fortune to be given a personal tour of a TV station once. I asked about media slant on stories, and how they can give at times give the wrong impression. I received an answer, with a wry look, that the TV station has to play to the emotions of their audience, because they have to get ratings.

This was perhaps the most reputable TV station in my State.

In another incident, during widespread flooding, a friend of mine who lives in a rather poor area (and of course, poor areas still have decent, well dressed, articulate people) - she saw media coming towards cleanup workers, where she had volunteered. Being the social butterfly she is, she went up and said "I'll give you an interview"...they walked straight passed her saying 'we are looking for people more representative of this area'.

These are only two of the most obvious examples of media 'bias'. There are other examples out there.

My view is:
- they all ignore information that doesnt' fit a narative that stirs emotions
- they all play to their audiences pre-conceived ideas (and won't go against this unless they can spin it as a good news story)
- they all try to reinforce those pre-conceived ideas
- the only difference is in the degree that they do this

@vikorr,
Hi vikorr, nice to see you.

I don’t feel that a part of the population or I have been egregiously slighted when news outlets dramatize news. I do know if it bleeds it leads, and I’ve had to make my peace with that.😕

But when the democrat party employs staff to read Twitter accounts of celebrities and regular people, and email Twitter to suspend accounts of individuals the Dems disagree with—and Twitter does it—that breaks a sacred trust and ethos that this country was built on—and a principle Congress members swore to uphold instead of destroy. This and similar undemocratic behavior by Democrats, including suppressing a news story across multiple social media outlets and getting Twitter to shut down the account of the president’s press secretary when she mentioned it online, to me, is using money and power to rig an election.

As much as I loved them getting caught red-handed, I’m so deeply sad today that this is the result of our ‘beautiful experiment.’

It has utterly failed.

(But hope *your* day is going well!)
