Had 2 calls to sub tonight. Bands are cancelling right and left

what the hell happened to this pussy new breed of musicians anyway? Our opening act MISSED SOUND CHECK last night because it was raining so hard......unbelieveable...we had some blinding rain so they sat home to see if they could make it......I'm drumming them all out of the Rock and Roll Outlaws union.....we loaded up last night in heavy rain......glad to hear that everything and everybody is okay down that way....now we're in the path for 40 to 60 mph winds...the brunt is following 95....which is exteremely bad news for some parts of Eastern NC that seem to get hit every year just as they're finished reeling from the year before.....we have a generator and I'll crank it up here shortly just to be sure that it works....but I don't think we'll really need it.....big rain I have a feeling and that's it.......

Per the weather channel, tropical storm watch here in New England, up to the mouth of the Merrimack River, with a flood watch in effect for all of Southern New England except for Cape Cod.

AT 5 AM EDT... HURRICANE CHARLEY WAS CENTERED NEAR LATITUDE 31.2 NORTH AND LONGITUDE 80.5 WEST... OR ABOUT 115 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA. CHARLEY WAS MOVING TO THE NORTH NORTHEAST AROUND 25 MPH.

That was 6 hours ago.

PS Good to read our Floridians are okay.

I have the feeling that if Charley get back over water, we're in for some trouble up here.

Charley leaves multiple deaths in Florida

"To the south, in Lee County, the sheriff's office reported one hurricane-related death in North Fort Myers when a man in his early 20s stepped outside during the full force of the hurricane to smoke a cigarette"

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WEATHER/08/14/storms/index.html

Just how long did he expect that cigarette to last?

When you pulled into Soth O' The Border at 3 am you had to check and make sure you weren't tripping.

When I was still new to the South, I made Bear stop there. He kept trying to tell me we really didn't need to sop. It was like the worlds largest truck stop gift shop + fireworks. What a disappointment!
