Floridians stay in touch as we keep our fingers crossed!
I am keeping my fingers crossed in Germany for you! Take care, my friends in Florida!
Yeah, keep yourselves safe over there!
Thanks squinney. Right now the probability chart favors me but one can't tell. Thanks for the chart too. It's got good graphics.
Ok Letty, I'll be hovering today and tomorrow.
Hope you guys make out okay...I hate loading in and out in the f*#^ing rain pan, don't you?
I thought this was about a visit from Prince Charles the first few times I saw it... :-P
Be safe, everyone!!
Damn, you're right. I forgot about that! And it gets worse! My gig is right next to Lake Okachobee. I mean you could throw a tennis ball and hit the earthen walls. This is not good. Has anybody heard about the great Hurricane that killed thousands back in the old days?
Deadliest Hurricanes in the United States

1. Galveston, Tex. 1900 4 8,000
2. Lake Okeechobee, Fla. 1928 4 1,836
Hope the Cocoa Beach folks find this thread. Phoenix is on the gulf coast.
Thanks, all. We'll be checking in from time to time.
Soz, you are soooooo funny.
Soz is right, I have a tendency to bury my threads with an obscure title. Never was much of a journalist.
Oh, it's not obscure! If I'd paid any attention to the news anyway. (This was the first I knew of it.)
Letty. I am as ready as I will ever be. Oh, for those of you in the path of the hurricaine- (I wrote this on another thread, but it's worth repeating). Before the storm hits, fill your bathtub with water. If the water is shut off, you can use the water in the tub (with a pail) to flush your toilets!
Good tip Phoenix; from a veteran. Well, the power surges from the edge of Bonnie are playing havoc with my computer. Had to reboot 3 times so far. And went to take a shower and had to do it with cold water. Hope the circuit just tripped. One down, one to go.
Well, Phoenix, I gots to get some stuff in here to eat. Later yawl.
You and BPB be sure to hunker down and stay dry! Looks like the rain is coming now. My guess is we'll get fairly wet, but will be spared the worst of it. I hope those in Florida and along the coast fair well too!
Thanks Scrat , get that nest ready.
The rain and wind are getting wild. I don't know if this is the fringe of Bonnie or Charlie. Gonna go check the battens.
