Eye of Hurricane missed Key West by several miles. Only bad enough in Miami that my scholl is closed so I get the day off.

Yipeee! No school!
I'm afraid there'll be some real problems for the folks along the West Coast. Phoenix? Are you OK?

It's been very, very windy and sunny in Houston these past two days. No humidity and it's about 70. I think that we are getting some good from your bad... Take care, and I hope everyone is safe over there.

Just sent Phoenix an email. Haven't heard back as yet. I'm listening to my weather radio. Still and cool here.

Phoenix goes offline if there are thunderstorms to protect the computer. Doesn't mean a thing.

It's a little more serious than that. I believe she lives in the Tampa area.

I think we're going to be fine here, Panz.
Rog, who is possum?
Well, Let's just hope that Phoenix is safe regardless.

Hi Guys!
Everything is OK here. Spent part of the morning at Home Depot trying to think of things for both me my husband and my mom. Last minute, I decided to change her weatherstripping on her front door!
We have a century plant in back of our living room. It had gotten very large, and we had talked about removing it. If you know anything about century plants, they are very heavy, and have sharp points.
Anyhow, yesterday, we tried to lower our metal awnings, but the plant was in the way, So my husband hacked it up. Last night, in bed, all of sudden I realized that those pieces of plant could be deadly missles.
So, when I got home from my mom, my husband and I "gingerly" cut up the pieces, and put them in plastic bags. They are now in a safe place.
So now I will sing a chorus of "Que sera, sera"!

Just heard that Charley will make landfall south of Tampa Bay, so that the storm surge will be minimal. Manatee (Bradenton) and Sarasota will get the worst of it. There have been a tornado spotted northeast of me.
