And though completely off the thread topic, as an example of what we might be doing/contributing rather than silly, juvenile bickering, is noting things of real value.
A friend of mine held the world's record in number of birds shot in one day. Did it in Argentina but don't remember what kind of birds they were. I never understood the point of it all.

@ehBeth,
I am beside myself. But avoiding looking back in my direction as I'm kind of wrinkly and want to remain Bambi-happy.

@blatham,
I watched the clip of Aretha Franklin, she is always fabulous. I thought Carol King was going to hurl herself onstage. You're right, our time could be better spent.
You're the kind of individual who'd like to see Disney redone by Tarantino. Difficult not to respect that.

Wasn't that something. The art of King, the art of Aretha -> Obama in tears and as deserved a standing ovation as one might imagine. Absolutely beautiful. Very pleased you attended to it.
I have been a fan of Aretha for many years, I have the 45rpms, LP's, 8-tracks, the old little tapes (forgot what they're called), and now all of her music on CD's to prove it.
Oh yeah, loved Treme, Showtime and HBO do a great job in presenting great television. Did you see the documentary on Muscle Shoals, the recording studio that many singers used to flesh out there sound? Aretha Franklin recorded 'never loved a man' there and Lynard Skinner mentions the studio in their song 'Sweet Home Alabama'.
