What a find, Beth! How wonderful is that!

Glad to hear everything is fine, littlek! Did they check your potassium level? Coincidentally (or probably not) mine tanked at the same time the tachycardia started. They never explained that to me, but apparently there is a link. Also...it always happens to me when I'm resting, never when I'm feeling stressed.

@dlowan,
I did something unspeakable to my back vacuuming and such.

It's kind of somewhat better now, but it had me actually crying with pain....and not really able to walk.

Sleeping...that's gonna be interesting.

Part of my right shin sort of part of the leg is kind of numb. I don't like that...though it's better than when it was hurting lotys and lots.

Damn back!

I guess that's it for the housework this weekend, eh?

Dlowan - have you been popping ibuprofen? It should help especially now in the early (make you cry) stages.

Eva, I had a mad craving for a banana which I indulged - maybe there's something to the potassium deficiency.

I am embarassed, indeed! My heart is "as clean as a whistle" and my EKG is "pristine". I was told I'd benefit from cousneling and given a small prescription of low-dose lorazepan. I think I'll celebrate with deacf green tea and a movie......

Embarrassment, what a small price to pay for the relief you must have felt!

Remember the words of Galahad:
"My strength is as the strength of ten
Because my heart is clean-as-a-whistle*"

* Well, he actually said "pure", but, ya know, same thing.

Will you at least be able to call in sick tomorrow? If not, get well soon!

@dlowan,
debbele, Oy. Don't like that "numb" part. Don't like the pain part. Hope this all goes away.

My wabbit was crying! Worrying and sympathetic.

@Roberta,
Off to get drugs as soon as the chemists open...in a couple of hours.

Got a tiny bit of sleep.

I may HAVE to call in sick tomorrow (Tuesday)...today is Monday but it's a public holiday. I am so busy I don't know what to do, though. At work I mean. Today I'll have to cancel my nice social activities, I guess. Unless the drugs work a miracle!

I had a teeny bit of ibuprofin, but it got used up when it happened. After which I did MORE housework, and made it worse! At least the study, where I had to sleep because the sofa is harder than my bed, was clean!!!

Thank you for your thoughts...I am actually a bit frightened of being laid up for a while, and the pain really is hard to deal with.

@littlek,
Potassium imbalance can have an effect on the system which moves impulses along nerves.

Your heart, of course, has a special electrical system to make it beat.

Eat dem bananas!

Have they checked your levels?

@msolga,
Yep...with lots of painkillers and such. (Had some valium, which is good for spasms and all..) It's still very painful though, and there's no way of sitting or lying in comfort...standing sucks too, and walking isn't great.

I'm wondering if I can walk very slowly all night?

I guess I could fall downstairs, though.

You poor thing, Deb! Sounds like nothing can bring any comfort or relief!
