@Thomas,
A bit, I think.

I managed a couple of hours sleep last night. Hurray!!!

Can't possibly go to work today though...which is a bit of a drama (it's always hard to make contact with the first client of the day in time...luckily mine has quite often forgotten appointments, so can't complain TOO much). I can do the two teleconferences I had on today while lying down here at home....but tomorrow!!! Well, I had just better be better!!

I think you're supposed to keep mobilizing these things? I might try a very slow little walk today...I have been walking around the house as much as possible.

Thank you for asking, folks!!!

I haven't been in pain like this since the first time my back "went" in the early 1980's so I am being a major wuss!!!!

@dlowan,
"these things" - have you seen the doc for a diagnosis?

I don't think you want people recommending treatment til you're sure what's gone whack.

Please be careful, dear bunnikins.

@ehBeth,
Don't think I could sit long enough in a doctor's waiting room!!! Can only sit for a few minutes....but I have had this before, and I believe it is the bit where spine meets pelvis...sacro-iliac? Had that diagnosed by physios and such like.

As far as I know, at this stage, one rests and mobilizes gently and takes painkillers and anti-inflammatories. I'll get into a physio as soon as I can.

All the doc might have to offer is stronger painkillers, I believe!

You have my total sympathy, bunny. My back hasn't been really bad in more than a decade, knock on wood. It's always in the same place.. I too remember that some movement is good - except when it isn't at all, so I'll worry with ehBeth.

@dlowan,
So how's your back this morning? I hope you're up and hopping again? Or at least well enough to go to the doctor?

@djjd62,
Damn thing's worse.

It's 5.00 am, and I'm trying the doctor/physio route today (IF I can get in anywhere)

I've taken over this thread.

Maybe I should open a moan and whinge thread, and stop doing it here.

Or stop doing it altogether!

I vote for your back stopping with the aching thing. Please give it my regards, and tell it it's shtick is getting really old for me now.

Seriously though, and this may well be a stupid question: You keep talking about getting yourself to a doctor. But, in cases like yours, isn't there an option to get a doctor to you? You seem like a textbook case for a house call.

@dlowan,
Deb, Sympathetic. Worse is definitely not good. A doctor had damn well better see you today.

You moan and whinge (I had to look that up) all you want. If you're uncomfortable about doing it on this thread, then you're more than welcome to do in on my moan and whinge thread. But hey, this thread is about how you are, so it seems fitting that you report in here.

Pain, pain, go away.
