@edgarblythe,
[quoteI just got a new cell phone. My second. Now I have to figure out how to use it. I am not optimistic.][/quote]

It's radically different/more complicated than the first one, edgar?

At first glance it's nearly the same. I'm just a dunce in this area.

Hmmm. I see quite a few thread readers, but few thread posters ...

Hey, don't be shy!
Where are you, say, on a scale of 1 to 10 today? (1 being mightily wretched ... & 10 being very, very, very contented, happy & on top of the world? And why?) Me, I'd say 4 1/4 today. I'm hoping for improvements tomorrow. Smile

A suggestion for you edgar: use the thing a lot over the next week. Doesn't matter who you call, just keep calling! I guarantee you'll be brilliant by the following week! You'll detest the damned cell phone by this time & people will consider you a pesky nuisance, but using it will be second nature! Very Happy

Let's say, 9...

A lingering private problem is preventing me to be in paradise..

@Francis,
Oh no! So near, Francis, yet so far! Wink

(Actually, I can't remember you ever being remotely down-ish. I wonder: what is the secret of such optimism?)

I was just wondering: Are you still in the UK, Francis, or back home now?

@msolga,
Well, the secret is that I believe life is beautiful (and life never proved me wrong).

However, I remember I've been down-ish once in all these years I've been on A2K..

I came home a few days ago.

But I'll be leaving for a distant country in a short while...

@Francis,
I want to ask where & to do what, Francis, but I suspect I'd be being intrusive. So .. best of luck, whatever the reason for your trip! Are you going to be there for a while?

@msolga,
reading notes from dear friends, wishing I'd invested in waterproof mascara

today will be a busy, distracting day - dogs are going to the vets for check-ups and shots. later I will meet brendalee to talk, eat, go to a pre-concert lecture and then the Brandenburgs. Glad there are distractions today.

@the prince,
In the non-cricket zone, obviously, G! (Sorry, I know it's unbelievable to cricket fanatics, but cricket really isn't my thing at all.) Anyway, dearie, enjoy! Smile
