I feel like crap because i cant find a decent job and i will forever stay in the same sh*tty job for less than 10grand a year. There is no hope of doing a job I enjoy ever and i am destined to live an unhappy life.

Idea Time to migrate, mg!
Perhaps to the land of Oz?
Your fortunes will change!
Dump that unhappy life!

(Just putting a few new ideas into the equation! Very Happy  )

Id still be me in the same situation, just different weather.

Looks like this portrait of your friend is not meant to be! Sounds like a good one of you, though! You should keep it!

Laughing

But it'd be a big challenge, mg!
That'd keep you on your toes!

Seriously though, a few changes sound like what the doctor ordered! You sound bored silly!

for a change to happen, you first have it will happen, mg. if you've given up beforehand, no change will come to you on its own.

believe in yourself, work on yourself, look forward, aim and attaaaaaaack! i'm sure something good does lie ahead.

uh, olga, don't know if it's a talent....well, i can paint something coherent-looking, but i always get shading wrong (don't know if a lay person can tell, but a painter sure could), i don't work the way i should work (never had a single painting class), but i enjoy it tremendously.
like tennis - which i cannot play well, because i was never patient enough to get trained. i just wanna smack that ball - like a dog that wants a stick to be thrown, i hear nothing, i see nothing, i'm untrainable.

Half your luck, dag!
I studied art & developed a life-long complex! Sad Evil or Very Mad
Don't worry about getting anything wrong. If you love what you're doing then you're lucky! Very Happy

Ooh, we are so alike.I loved art at school, took art a level, I did a 2 year fashion course, have 3 folders full of fashion ideas and as we speak Im surrounded by craft materials.

My creative juices need to flow.Nobody wants to pay me to muck about with glitter and glue, and im really not interested in anything else enough to dedicate a third of my life to it.

I get so worried because Ive never really had a proper interview( I hate them anyway), the ones I have had have been quite casual, and since ive been working were i am my brain has disapeared and I feell ike my head is full of cotton wool.I cant think properly.Obviously well paid jobs are going to be looking for someone intelligent,it all makes me feel like im stuck in a rut.

Ive jsut been looking at jobs and nothing appealing is available.

Paint away Dagmaraka, make your own style.Remember Van Gogh couldnt do perspective.

I prefer le Douanier to le Philosophe, specially as I found out he put his own children in the Enfants Trouvés - so much for being the great educator.

I'm feeling good today after a week of not - probably weather dependent, as today is a bright and crisp day, unlike yesterday's freezing rains. I wish everyone a bright new morning - unless it's afternoon, in which case I hope TOMORROW is a bright new morning. (I feel I could cope with Chicago on a day like this!)

sure you could, clary. sunshine just changes everything. i soaked myself in sunlight for about 15 minutes today, and felt like a new person. maybe i'll sneak out for a walk to the store and back again.

ha, this rousseau surely could paint. but what did he have to say about le bon sauvage? and collective will?

Sun, Clary, THAT is what you need! If mg won't head to Oz's sunny shores, then you should! Very Happy
BTW speaking of needing sun, the CSIRO is now advocating small daily doses of sun, not in the middle of the day of course! After years of telling us to stay out of the sun altogether, now it's acknowledged that we need to expose ourselves a bit, for vitamin D. Just about the only source, apparently. Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that you've been a bit down in the dumps, possum. And I'm pleased that today is better! Very Happy

But then, who the hell cares?
Is this not one of the most evocative paintings ever accomplished?
