Today I have no vehicle, (third day in a row) my trusty dakota is suffering from steering colomn colic.
My best and last remaining friend within 500 miles has refused to call me and give back my sewing machine for going on three months now.
I have the father in law from hell, if any one is looking for the anti-christ i married into his family, (everbody loves raymond is a documentary of my life) this man is like herpes.
I ran into the last WORST person alive that i can sanely handle, so i dropped out of my wonderful job as a Real Estate Agent, (I have atleast a dozen people im hoping will fall into pools of acid) to sit on my wheeless bum while my husband becomes my only provider, toiling away in the relentless heat, under the weight of a United States Postal mail bag while walking the street of two whole towns, (talk about guilt.)
My house in a complete disaster area, and i have no drive to do anything yesterday, today or tomorrow any greater than sitting here playing euchre on yahoo.

But other than that, with the music playing, and plenty of posts to read, its sure to be a good day. My mother lives 6 miles away, perhaps i will walk to her house just in time to get a ride home from hubby, so we can cuddle and wine and moan about our day, while munching on left over lamb chops that turned out a little gamey because i was out of mint.

Hello All,

I've had a great evening yesterday, went to this concert to the Palace of Arts, and had a wonderful time, even though I got soaking wet after, when coming out of the concert hall, the rain started to get really heavy..

I'M sleepy now. Sad

Sounds like a good time, shadowboxer.

Prince, do you return to the flood-ravaged Mumbai or somewhere less wet?

This lovely girl is really enjoying NOT thinking about work tomorrow, prince! It's just after 6 pm. Early yet! Laughing

I'm certain you are really, really lovely, G! (In fact the word, from certain people who have actually met you, is that you definitely are lovely! Laughing )
Anyway, how nice to fly away, just like that! Have a wonderful time & a make sure you rest! Enjoy! Very Happy

Have a great trip home, Prince, oop North!

Hi Olga, hope you are looking forward to spring already...

I'm well today because there's plenty to do on the home front. I realise that I am actually happiest being a housewife, but have only realised it when a widow! My youngest is here to cook for, and he has a friend to stay tonight so a bed needs making up, a dinner preparing ... perhaps I could get a job as a housekeeper - although having said that, I would hate doing it for people I didn't love!

Nice, Clary! You sound happily busy, preparing for the weekend. So, tonight's dinner will be ...? Something yummy, I'll bet! Very Happy

Am I looking forward to spring? Mate, I'm LONGING for winter to end! I hate it with a fierce passion! Bring on spring! SOON! Very Happy

We're still hoping for summer - had a good 10 days earlier but now, damp, cloudy - Melbourne weather! Dinner, hmm. I usually rely on lamb curry, or something with pasta. I'm not a very inventive cook, although I do put unexpected ingredients in from time to time if I have them!

I need a hug Sad

It's been a pi$$y day, Mr B is out of town, M is away at camp, K is out on a date, I've been fighting on boards I usually only read, never post, and I just want to yell at someone. Only, there's no one here to yell at.

<hug JB>
Beat the hell out of a cushion, yelling Die, you scum! and use as many terrible words as you can about the cushion, describing it and its parentage in graphic detail. It might just get you laughing.

Laughing I don't know if doing it will get me laughing, but reading your description of it did, Clary. Thanks!

I had some dinner, went for a walk, and feel like rejoining the human race. Thanks for the hug, I needed it.

I'm hugely relieved today, dear reader. After 5+ weeks of virus/no energy/angst you should have seen the state my tiny little house was in! Shocked Even by my own (rather relaxed) standards it was awful, just awful! Truly, If anyone had appeared at my door during the last week I would have been too embarrassed to let them in. Embarrassed
Well, on this grey & raining on & off Sunday, I've opened all the windows (fresh air! Very Happy ), washed the dishes, vacuumed & am now about to steam clean the kitchen floor. Phew! The relief to have finally done all this is HUGE! Not 100% perfect, but I feel almost in control of things again! That's much better! Very Happy
