@bobsal u1553115,
It's looking glass logic, blame the victim, tolerate racists, and suck up to the rich.

The fact is that is is almost only ever the blacks who are noticing a problem, and that their claims seem very dubious. Racism born out of the cancerous victim culture is far and away the most likely the reason for most of the whinning.

I say to the blacks get to work, show me what you can do. Focus on rebuilding your families and your churches and getting along with people and learning skills and lets see if there is any reason you cant do it, any problems that we the collective need to work on. I am not interested in giving the blacks any more candy and priority over the rest of us till the facts are proven, till they shut their mouths and get off their asses and start trying to do something for themselves. Enough is enough. We are creating useless layabouts who are never happy and who far too often gravitate to a life of crime...idle hands being the devils workshop as we know.

It is time for a new plan.

And BLM can go **** themselves unless they are willing to get on board a program to fix the "justice" system for all of us, if they cant get behind all lives matter.

I know what to say to people who are always in my ear about what they CAN'T do, and about how in their imagination I am the reason.

@ehBeth,
I think it is a messed up question.

All lives matter and black lives are by far the most endangered. Stupid dichotomy, at least in many areas of the U S.

And the right keeps saying "but racism is dead!"

You mean it is racist to point to the mountain of bodies of young black men in Chicago every year where policing is not all that stick and compared it to New York City who had been using stick policing?

Facts by themselves can be racist?

@BillRM,
Selective use of facts, and ignoring evidence that undermines your stance, can be very racist indeed.

A man has been in prison in the US for 23 years for shooting dead a British tourist even though the judge in his trial and police detectives believe he is innocent of the crime.

Robert Jones was accused of being behind a crime spree of rape, robbery and then the murder of holidaymaker Julie Stott in New Orleans in 1992.

Despite another man being convicted for the murder and being overwhelmingly linked to all the other crimes, Mr Jones was never released.

In June, the Louisiana Supreme Court acknowledged that Mr Jones did not get a fair trial and ruled that his case should be reopened. But he remains behind bars.

Yes it is racist to once more pointed out that in a city where gangs are allowed to control the inner city there are hundreds of homicides every year and children are in danger walking to their schools and in a similar city where gangs are kept in control by strong policing the homicide rate is a tiny faction of the first city.

Black lives do not matter to the black lives leadership or they would be calling for more policing and stronger policing not less.

@BillRM,
It's racist and simplistic to reduce everything to just one factoid. Social structures are far more complex than that.

An you know the race of this person how as the posting you placed on this tread did not give the race of the person in question?

We should just assume that the man is black as such things never never happen to whites?

Sure it is and hundreds of dead bodies a year in one city and not the other and that change only happen after strong policing went into effect in NYC.

Anyone that see a very likely cause and effect relationship must be an evil racist without question.

@ehBeth,
Do you have a take on this?

The only thing that surprises me is that there were only 9% of the whites who were uber-lib enough to to join the minority of blacks in choosing "black lives matter."

It's a slogan, not a view on the importance of human life.

I suppose some small number of the blacks choosing BLM actually believe that white lives don't matter, but that's certainly not the notion behind the slogan.

There's nothing racist in any of these results.

And where do you see evidence of racism in ehbeth's link/post?

@Finn dAbuzz,
I was pleased to see that the US poll results matched my real-life Canadian experience.

I get BLM as a slogan - there is clearly a problem. We've recently had a resolution to end carding and I think that's a good thing.

I liked that the majority in all id'd categories picked "all lives matter" as reflecting their feelings.
