I would like to have the latest Volkswagen ... but only, to sell the car, because not more than one has been produced ... due to the 50th birthday of Lamborghini cars
street-legal, 1200 hp ride: 2012 Hennessey Venom GT
It looks great, sounds sick, and that engine is a beast.
One only needs 250 hp with 4 cylinders for roadways and legal use, why would anyone need an additional 1,000 hp to just be dragged around for the life of the vehicle?
Change of subject, unless, your questions is in regard to the ride an unlucky astronaut takes when he has fatal problems in a car while going 200+ mph......

@BillW,
It certainly depends on the car and road conditions. (250 km/h [155 mph] was the fastest I've ever driven on a normal road.)
57 Alfa Romeo with something like an Evinrude/Bombardier ETek engine and modern wheels and tires...

I remember in about 1967-8 when I went about 20 miles on a Dallas to Fort Worth toll road at about 120+or-. When I gave the toll card to the toll keeper he just looked at me, kinda shook his head and gave me the change. Great, cheap German car - Opel Kadett Rally Sport!
You can certainly see the aero dynamic changes made between th Rallye Sport and the GT, I wish I could have driven one - for sure! I was in different places at that time.

@BillW,
Actually, when driving a car at 200+ mph, "safe" is in the eye of the driver.
Some feel it's too fast going 50 mph on freeways.
