I've no objection to CCW licensing, so long as it is Shall Issue.

@oralloy,
HERES WHAT REP TERZAI ACTUALLY SAID in 2008
Quote:

"Pro-Second Amendment? The Castle Doctrine, it's done. First pro-life legislation - abortion facility regulations - in 22 years, done. Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done," Turzai said at this weekend's Republican State Committee meeting ,
.
In all folloup newspaper stories about what he said, his campaign "FIXERS" Jumped in to do damage control and spin the same lie that you re trying to spin .
"Oh what he meant was that the voter ID would prevent xheating" AS I SAID, I that's hat he meant, that's what he should have said.

When you have your guys get caught making these classy announcements to the voters, you should teach them to recant, apologize and then state what "THEY REALLY MEAN" Rather than having their flunkies later post these lies which you gullible ones will buy because you doont think your reps can actually be that stupid.

Like that's really gonna happen. your revisionism of facts is funny and robs you of any credibility that you may wish to store-up for future uses

@oralloy,
Try to stick with facts when quoting someone. Any credibility you may have had seems to be gone. Youre actually trying to convince the readers of an untruth .
You really don't seem to have much respect for truth when it comes to your party politics . Does that mean I have to discount everything you say on these boards? or don't you even care how you come across to readers?

I stick to the facts all the time no matter what.

farmerman wrote:

Nonsense. My credibility is impeccable. Note your inability to point out any facts that I am wrong about.

farmerman wrote:

Hardly. I'm pointing out facts and reality, just as I always do.

farmerman wrote:

Says the guy who can't point out a single fact that I'm even wrong about.

farmerman wrote:

You are free to stick your head in the sand and ignore reality if you wish.

However, reality will carry on being reality whether you like it or not.

farmerman wrote:

I provide the readers with much-needed facts and other references to reality. Other than that I don't worry overmuch about it.

(Is "overmuch" pretentious? Not trying to be, but I like the sound of it, so I'm going with it.)

@oralloy,
You have the bals to lie about a quote that was presented you. Somehow you ADD a phrase about cheting Democrats hich was never in the reps statement.

Wrong is too good a word, you are a lying POS who apparently lives in some dream world based of personal aggrandizement.

Others have told me but I only found you to be persistent and not untruthful, till today.

@hawkeye10,
Hawk:
I am always bewildered when someone dies by an accidental discharge and the resulting hysteria that calls for the infringement of a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution. I am bewildered because I dont see the same hue & cry when people die (in vastly larger numbers)by motor vehicle accidents, given that a drivers license is not a right, but a priviledge.

Also, while a right is not absolute, it may only be regulated when it infringes on the right of another to exercise his rights or by excercising said right would be a clear and present danger to the public as a whole, ie; possesing a nuclear device for self defense.

A right is like a muscle; it must be exercised or you will lose it. It is a slippery slope indeed when you let the camels nose in under the tent. (who desides how much to infringe a right...mob rule?) Remember, without the Second Amendment there is no way to protect the other 9...or yourself.

Oh **** you, you are feeding me the same bullshit that the liberals keep spooning out, talking all about rights, their rights, the rights of the people they feel sorry for without saying one damn thing about responsibilities, the other 50% of the equation.

When did gun owners get so ******* stupid is what I want to know. In the seventies when I hung around the gun people a little I heard a lot more about gun safety then I did about gun owner rights. People joined the NRA and went to NRA events, sent a few letters to the editor maybe, but day in and day out hanging out them was if going to get you a lecture then you knew it was probably going to be a gun safety lecture. It was the morally right thing to do, and it was about protecting gun owners from ridicule and likely loss of rights from being seen as irresponsible.

@hawkeye10,
That little girl blowing a hole in her shooting instructors head with a UZI after he set it to automatic and told her to blast away on her own is more of the same, except this time from an INSTRUCTOR!

I am all for gun ownership rights. When they act responsible they can use them. when they dont we should take them away.

I am very concerned about the state removing the rights to handle guns wholesale, but the lack of outrage from the gun people on this bullshit is exactly as bad as is the muslims near silence on that acts of islamic terrorists. I have reached the end of my patience on guns this last year, and it is not the mass shoot em ups that did it, it is the gun people not even paying lip service to gun safety anymore.

**** em till they wise up.

Painting with a rather broad brush, arent you?
How does being a gun owner make me delusional?

I totally accept the fact that you are totally opposed to firearms, thats your right.
However, to say that all gun owners are delusional, or to try and obstruct or deny me the right to own a gun makes you the delusional one, IMHO.

The reason I say that is because that right is in the US Constitution, the supreme law of the land.
And nothing, short of a totally new Constitution, can revoke that.
As long as I am a law abiding citizen, neither you nor anyone else can deny me the right to own a gun.
To think that you can would make you delusional, not me.

So please explain how you came to the conclusion that ALL gun owners are delusional.

Right up until the point you walk into a kindergarten and start taking a load of toddlers out.

You can't do that over here, because sanity, not delusion, prevails.

So you think lawn darts are about weeding down those on the shallow end of the gene pool. How come the innocent victims of gun accidents get no protection?

First hawk you need to apologise...I have never shown you any disrespect.
If you are too angry to except any counter arguements you shouldnt have asked for the discourse.

And if you are comfortable with the infringement of one right then you should have no problem with the suspension of any other right including your right to tell me to **** myself. Its all fun and games til they curtail the rights YOU think are important...you cant cherry pick which ones you want to protect with out putting them all in jepardy.
