Some people call avocados 'alligator pears,' 'cause of the leathery skin.

In Colombia it's aguacate and at the store they put them in a chuspa or chuspita. In Peru it's palta and you carry it home in a bolsillo.

Good one, Pitter, "chuspa" goes against the stereotype of Colombians always speaking "proper" Spanish.

Now I have to correct myself:

Finally, do you know where the word "aguacate", (avocado) comes from?
It comes from "ahuacatl", Nahuatl (Aztec) for testicle.

Good one fbeaser. Now here's a test: in Peru they told me there are a hundred and fifty varieties of papa. Can you name them? (I've made this easy by the way because anouther Peruvian source, a guide at Machu Pichu said there are two thousnd.)

Sólo conozco papa roja y papa blanca. LOL

(I've always had doubts as to how translate thread)

I´m guessing "animar de nuevo" instead of "revivir" which sounds to me like re-live.

Revivir is totally correct, Pitter.
Reanimar would be also correct.

On the Pantalones doubt:
