In Colombia it's aguacate and at the store they put them in a chuspa or chuspita. In Peru it's palta and you carry it home in a bolsillo.

Good one, Pitter, "chuspa" goes against the stereotype of Colombians always speaking "proper" Spanish.

Aaray, éso no está siempre correcto. Como todas lenguas, Español tiene sus propias irregularidades. Por ejemplo, su palabra "pocito," que, como ha dicho fbaezer, está en realidad "poquito". Ésta es porque tiene una cambia de ortografía. La "c" está pronunciada differente dependiendo en que letra la sigue.

I´m guessing "animar de nuevo" instead of "revivir" which sounds to me like re-live.

Revivir is totally correct, Pitter.
Reanimar would be also correct.

On the Pantalones doubt:

Yo traduciría "thread" como "discusión".

En otros foros que conozco, se utiliza "tema" e incluso "foro". A nadie se le ha ocurrido usar una buena traducción semiliteral: "hebra".

En cualquier caso, Amigo estaba bastante pacheco cuando escribió ese "post" (e introduzco otra ciberpalabra de difícil traducción).
