@coldjoint,
No, Netanyahu is a sick man with a victim complex. And all you've really proven here is that his condition is contagious.

@oralloy,
Of course, Netanyahu is right, and the world is wrong. We all get that . . .

Israel is surrounded by enemies. It is not a complex, it is a reality.

The notion of "Jews being able to defend themselves" really bothers you, doesn't it?

We have MAYBE 15 extra years to get ready for a nuclear Iran, and no extra time to get ready for an russia/iran/chinese partnership openly hostile to the West by the looks of it.

If Iran resumes developing nuclear weapons, they either will face renewed global sanctions or will get a visit from the US Air Force. Or both at once.

@oralloy,
The United Nations Security Council, the United Nations General Assembly, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Court of Justice, and the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention all concur that the Israeli settlements are illegal. I won’t call you a scumbag for supporting a regime that commits land theft because that would be comparable to pointing out that a man without clothes is naked.

Now, there comes a point when you have to admit to yourself that you have fallen into the “Israel is right, and the world is wrong” mindset. I would suggest that you’ve gone way past that point since it is quite apparent that the thought of the Israeli regime engaging in continued land theft tickles you.

Were the wars the Arabs started numerous times and land they lost illegal? The UN is an Islamic/dictators club. They are not worth listening to.

@coldjoint,
What does that have to do with land theft occurring today?

Too bad. They've had plenty of chances to negotiate with Israel for a peace based on 1967 borders.

Since they refuse to negotiate such a peace deal, Israel is free to do with the land as they please.

Don't like it? Should have negotiated then.

Israel won the wars pinhead, and won those lands. Get a history book that is how it works.

Everything.

They lost that land when they illegally attacked Israel and Israel defended themselves.

Then when they refused to make peace with Israel, Israel got to keep all the land.

@oralloy,
So, you are making the case that the continual theft of Palestinian land and the building of illegal settlements is not theft at all because the Israeli regime's definition of what it won in a war includes continually expanding that territory at its whim even decades later?

There is no continuing expansion. The land that Israel won in 1967 remains the same size now as it was back in 1967.

And no. The reason this is not theft, and the reason the settlements are entirely legal, is because the Palestinians refuse to make peace with Israel.

No peace means that Israel gets to keep the land and do with it as they please.

@oralloy,
So, if I understand you correctly, you are denying that Israel is occupying Palestine?

I don't know if "occupying" is the correct term or not.

But Israel gets to keep all the land so long as the Palestinians refuse to make peace.

@oralloy,
You can't tell me whether or not the Israeli regime is an occupying force or not?

They either own it all, or they are simply occupying it. Choose one.

It's kind of like Schrodinger's Cat.

Until such time as a peace deal is successfully concluded with the Palestinians, it is both and neither all at once.

@oralloy,
So, the Palestinians have no right to resist Israel's occupation?
