Hello, Clary,
I like your definition of "instinct".
Is French your second language?

Merci, Mme LV! Yes, it is. And is it your first?

No, I've just only met them a few days ago, never had a chance to correspond with them, though. I like speaking in English, and I just landed here!

You seem to speak well - any particular reason?

Thanks, Clary! No, no particular reason other than the obvious, I love English, I read in English, I listen to English songs (I mean both BE & AME for all). Sorry I have to log off, be back soon.
See you!

Even with you...?

Speaking to Steve (41oo)'s wife Ros yesterday - she waxed fiercesome about apostrophes. Can we revive GBS's desire to eliminate them? They are redundant.

Guten Appetit Tom!

It's as if we were talking about the weather.
You may always use apostrophes McT but since most people misuse them shouldnt we ban them for the future?

Re-introducing capital punishment for misuse of apostrophes - that wouldn't really solve the problem, I suppose.
