The overuse of acronyms to save having to write it out. They are fine so long as you know what they stand for, otherwise you have to look it up.

When people use a small i as a personal pronoun to show their lack of ego thus attracting great attention to it. Maybe substitute "We" instead.

when people ask you where you're from, but what they really mean is 'where do you live?'

How about Gotcha! Around here, servers in restaurants are starting to say "gotcha' to indicate they have received your order. Simply makes no sense to me at all.

I'd say that "gotcha" is as relevant as Roger Wilco, which most people wouldn't understand, either.
