@MattDavis,
I also love spicy food, so I was pleased to see the research on it.
I find Indian and Pakistani cuisine to be on a level unrivaled by other traditions.

@MattDavis,
I also like vietnamese, thai, and italian, oh, and french, and food from various areas of mexico, and what I know of brazilian, which is a large place.

I'm busy learning about peppers in my new home area, new mexico. But not only peppers...

I've devised a 'recipe' for a really good tofu scramble that I think (from what I remember) tastes even better than eggs ranchero.
It involves pablanos, portabello mushrooms, cumin, chili powder, tamari, celery seed, and nutritional yeast.
I know the nutritional yeast may sound gross to the "uninitiated" but it is often used as the "cheese flavor" on popcorn.

@ossobuco,
Veganism really forced me to learn how to cook.
Prior to this I lived a pretty bland culinary existence maintained with restaurant chains and preprocessed foods.

@MattDavis,
I'm not a vegan but I eat a lot of vegetables. I learned to like them, not from my parents, who tried, but from trying foods of different cultures than my own. It helped to live in Los Angeles, which has a huge variety of family run restaurants from all over the place.

But wait - how's your knee, Joe N?

@MattDavis,
First flax seed oil; now it's tofu.

I only wish you had been here soon enough to encounter Dyslexia. I believe his final word on the subject was ~ "Shewolfnm fed me tofu. Then I fell and broke my hip".

@MattDavis,
Lemme finish this double bacon cheesburger and wash the grease of my hands. I'll get back to you as soon as it's digested.

@roger,
But he told me, re his anti tofu talk, that he didn't hate it, he was leg pulling..
though I doubt he liked it a lot past that. Dys was a story teller, and some of them were about tofu and Shewolf.

Ironically I also can make a pretty decent vegan version of that as well. Laughing

My version may actually digest with fewer unintended side-effects. Laughing

I hope you're better Jonathon. But if this thing gets better, something else will start hurting. That's just the way it is these days.

I eat flax seeds almost every day. I also eat meat almost every day. I believe in eating a wide variety. I don't eat soybeans however.

@edgarblythe,
Variety is good.
Do you have a soya allergy?
