No I am saying that half the home owners in the US have every damn right to have weapons in their homes for whatever reason and by your logic you could ban almost anything in a home. In any case my father did a little hunting and some target shooting.

Huge strawman argument since Frank never proposed banning every gun.

Since children poison themselves with household items does that mean we should have no regulation of poisons? Why does the government require that poisons be in childproof containers and have warnings? Wouldn't we all be safer if poisons were not regulated at all?

Guns kill more people than cycles injure.

I assume you do know that the cycle community is a tiny fraction of the US overall population while half of the adults in the US are gun owners?

Cycling is far far more dangerous then being a gun owner along with a hell of a lot of other things people do.

@oralloy,
Adam Lanza was permitted to use guns.
And he killed 20 children and 6 adults

Why do you think that was?

Makes me wonder. Or not:

from the official NRA transcript of the December 22 press conference
Quote:
And here's another dirty little truth that the media try their best to
conceal: There exists in this country a callous, corrupt and corrupting
shadow industry that sells, and sows, violence against its own people.
Through vicious, violent video games with names like Bulletstorm,
Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat and Splatterhouse. And here’s one:
it’s called Kindergarten Killers. It’s been online for 10 years. How come
my research department could find it and all of yours either couldn’t or
didn’t want anyone to know you had found it?

And now, the NRA releases a free target practice app–for ages 4 and up.
For $.99 extra, players can upgrade their gun to a pistol grip Mossberg or a semi-automatic sniper rifle.

It's suitable for children as young as four ... I like this advice:

This the "game" spits on the graves of Newtown victims. as titled by the NY Daily News.

Permitted?

Did not he killed his mother and took her guns so who permitted him to use guns?

He wasn't barred, so he was permitted. Thanks for that, NRA.

Tell you something funny....

Since you point a shotgun rather than aiming it, longer barrels make for better pointing and better accuracy.

And the semiautos are more accurate because the lengths of the receivers is added to the barrel lengths i.e. a semiauto with a 28" barrel is more or less like an O/U with 34" barrels.

Of the shotguns I own, the one I shoot best with is a Beretta Xtrema-2 which is meant for ducks and geese.

Most competitive skeet shooters know this and yet nonetheless go on using O/Us so they won't have to look like idiots picking up spent shells during or after shooting, they simply try to get good enough that it won't matter.

LOL name one law that would stop someone from killing a gun owner and using his or her guns to do mass murder?

Not even a complete ban on private gun ownership would do that as someone could killed and seize a government agent weapons.

The problem is, or at least one problem is, that kids are playing trigger games without internalizing any sort of a realistic idea of what happens when you pull triggers in real life. You get some of these cases in which kids apparently pull triggers of real guns for the first time without entertaining the notion that anything or anybody could get hurt.

In the world of 1900 and on backwards, that would never have happened, kids all knew what guns did.
