@hawkeye10,

That's your understanding of the outrage over Akin's remarks regarding "legitimate rape"?
Rape laws are a "government intrusion into our sex lives and intimate relationships"?
You're as obsessed with "feminists" as BillRM is obsessed with false rape allegations, and neither of you is able to address the actual topic of this thread because of your personal preoccupations. Go back to the rape thread, and take BillRM with you.

Then stop ignoring the facts.
The Republicans, and particularly their socially conservative, religiously fundamentalist base, are determined to exercise control over women's bodies and their reproductive and contraceptive choices. And it's hardly only feminists, or even only women, that reject and protest their agenda in that regard. And, with their abstinence only teachings/preachings, and their opposition to abortion, they're the ones trying to control people's sex lives, and trying to punish and shame women for being sexually active, in addition to what they are specifically trying to do to rape victims by limiting access to abortion and thereby forcing them to bear their rapist's child.
In what way are these religious conservative Republicans not being "barbaric women haters" when they promote such an agenda?
