Thay were not conserving the divine right of kings.
Thay did not conserve the government of King George 3rd.
In regard to that: thay were
radical.
Those of us like
Barry Goldwater and me,
take an orthodox position qua the filosofy of the Founders,
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, & James Madison
(as amended by Article 5 of the Constitution)
and are conservative regarding
their principles.
The fact that we do
not turn away therefrom,
makes us conservative of those values.
