I haven’t been here very long. I’ve noticed there seems to be a small glitch of member’s that do most of the posting, some seem friendly, others not so much. To me it does seem vicious, which bores me.

well, there was a time , not too distant past, when the forums were composedwith light hearted banter. I would love to see that return, even in the more serious subjects.
I don't know that i'd go along with that. Things started to get nasty at the time of the Iraq invasion, which was nine years ago. You may not have picked up on that, i think you weren't much involved in political threads then. Not long after, the religious wars started, when some christians were coming here, and encouraging all of their friends to sign up to take on the devil-worshipping atheists. That was also, roughly, the time of the great agnostic bullshit offfensive, when more than one agnostic here asserted the moral and intellectual superiority of their point of view. I'd say you just weren't seeing it then.
