They are sorry they didn't write you before, but they have been very busy. They ask how you are, and they say they are very happy about something. Their English is good because they practiced with a music group. The group was young, and were only in town for the past week. Also they say they are very happy with their new Pastors.

Literal translations:

It shows that you know the lame coyote of Laredo, Texas.

Do you preserve chili peppers in clay and bananas in boxes?

Now, read them aloud in Spanish and think of other possible meanings. Think dirty.
(The easiest one are the first and last ones; the hardest one is the third one- a very well known, yet "elegant" albur)

I'm sorry to not have written earlier, but I've been very busy, how are you Husker? We are very happy to know that it's only a little while until we can see you again. In the church we're good, we continue practicing to have a musical group, the kids last weekend were camping and they returned very happy. We are happy with our pastors, they have been a big blessing in our church.

Ah, I did better than I thought. IGLESIA threw me off, thought it was English.

BTW, Husker is doing much much better in his Spanish. His translation was near perfection.

Creo que estas líneas están más facil para leer:

I believe that this is an easier line to read, maso menos. You are right though, that line was easier to read.

Estaban más facil que líneas en letras mayúsculas.
