LAMENTO NO HABER ESCRITO ANTES, PERO HE ESTADO MUY OCUPADA, COMO ESTA HUSKER? ESTAMOS MUY CONTENTOS DE SABER QUE FALTA MUY POQUITO PARA PODER VERLOS NUEVAMENTE. ESTAMOS CONTENTOS CON NUESTROS PASTORES, ELLOS HAN SIDO DE MUCHA BENDICION EN NUESTRA IGLESIA

Too many holes, I can't make sense of it all. But I get something about this maybe:

They are sorry they didn't write you before, but they have been very busy. They ask how you are, and they say they are very happy about something. Their English is good because they practiced with a music group. The group was young, and were only in town for the past week. Also they say they are very happy with their new Pastors.

How'd I do, anywhere on the map?

A gringa. Double no-no Sad

Just 4 very simple albures examples:

Se ve que conoces al coyote cojo de Laredo, Texas.
(pronounce the x as a sh)

¿Conservas el chile en barro y el plátano en cajones?

El techo blanco ¿te gusta?

Soy maoista. ¿Usted ama a Mao?

Literal translations:

It shows that you know the lame coyote of Laredo, Texas.

Do you preserve chili peppers in clay and bananas in boxes?

White ceiling. Do you like it?

I am a Maoist. Do you love Mao?

Now, read them aloud in Spanish and think of other possible meanings. Think dirty.
(The easiest one are the first and last ones; the hardest one is the third one- a very well known, yet "elegant" albur)

Yeah, I was definitely thinking dirty with some of those. I am certainly putting those in the memory bank, thanks.

Child, a music loving man your age learning Spanish; must absolutely positively pick up a copy of Molotov's song "Frijolero". I'm sure you have your sources.
Here are the lyrics.

Yo ya estoy hasta la madre
de que me pongan sombrero
escucha entonces cuando digo
no me llames frijolero.

Y aunque exista algún respeto
y no metamos las narices
nunca inflamos la moneda
haciendo guerra a otros países.

Te pagamos con petróleo
e intereses nuestra deuda
mientras tanto no sabemos
quien se queda con la feria.

Aunque nos hagan la fama
de que somos vendedores
de la droga que sembramos
ustedes son consumidores.
(chorus)
Don't call me gringo,
You fuckin beaner
stay on your side
of that goddamn river
don't call me gringo,
You beaner.

No me digas beaner, Mr. Puñetero
Te sacaré un susto
por racista y culero.
No me llames frijolero,
Pinche gringo puñetero.
(end chorus)
Now I wish I had a dime
for every single time
I've gotten stared down
For being in the wrong side of town.

And a rich man I'd be
if I had that kind of chips
lately I wanna smack the mouths
of these racists.

Podrás imaginarte desde afuera,
ser un Mexicano cruzando la frontera,
pensando en tu familia mientras que pasas,
dejando todo lo que conoces atrás.

Si tuvieras tú que esquivar las balas
de unos cuantos gringos rancheros
Las seguirás diciendo good for nothing wetback?
si tuvieras tú que empezar de cero.

Now why don't you look down
to where your feet is planted
That U.S. soil that makes you take **** for granted
If not for Santa Ana, just to let you know
That where your feet are planted would be Mexico
Correcto!
(chorus)

This is what I think:
I'm sorry to not have written earlier, but I've been very busy, how are you Husker? We are very happy to know that it's only a little while until we can see you again. In the church we're good, we continue practicing to have a musical group, the kids last weekend were camping and they returned very happy. We are happy with our pastors, they have been a big blessing in our church.
