Good point about the snap.
They're saying it was the red lace thing that was supposed to stay on, though. Hmmm. (Shouldn't there be, like, frayed ends where the red thing tore? It's all clean leather lines.)
the piercing NP it, the veins and hair
These things go through cycles. Nipple piercing was popular in the later 19th century and then fell out of fashion.
Hair? Seriously Husker, what are you seeing that we aren't?
Ok I'm gunna stop talking about the looks and characteristics of her breast - never never know someone my be offended because there breast looks the same.

I don't see any discernable veins. (Although I'd say get used to it because vasculature exists everywhere on the body. The uh, unique parts of the male anatomy have got more veins than any breast would have and you don't see us women complaining, do ya?
And the hair is from the hair on her head. Not from her boobs!
I'm this close to saying something more, but, well, I think it best to keep those thoughts to myself. *heh*

Indeed, I have an identical one!
no fun today in the sandlot of the imagination
TiVo: Jackson stunt most replayed moment ever
TiVo said the halftime stunt was the most replayed moment not only of the Super Bowl but of all TV moments that the company has ever measured.

the clock's winding down. timberlake is going for the flea-flicker. jackson is out of position to make the stop. timberlake could-GO-ALL-THE-WAY!!
All well placed Christmas tree ornament underneath the red lace garment that failed? Merry Christmas!
"... We must let the networks know we will simply put the television in moth balls. Will that happen? When donkeys fly!
MTV was hired to do that half time show. Not Dick Clark! CBS and the NFL got exactly what they paid for! RATINGS is the name of the game. Let me assure you that it is safe to say that Conservative Performers will NEVER be out of a job. Society's very existence depends on us being conservative and trying to give back Family Values to these children. However, an performer's job is to sing, dance, and not strip. While we serve an invaluable service we are NOT parents. PARENTS need to start acting like parents, and not like Pimps! ..."
Why is it that we can't get a full investigation on whether or not Bush knew there were WMDs in Iraq before invading (clearly, he knew there were not), but a full investigation as to whether or not CBS knew of the breast stunt is already underway? They knew. It does seem ironic that the well-placed piercing Janet wore will soon be availible for sale on the net.
If this were such a crucial issue kjvtrue, why didn't you bring it up on your Who will Win the Super Bowl thread?

*L* Yeah, I heard that on t.v. tonight too.

I know! Amazing isn't it? I wonder how much taxpayer money will go towards this investigation. That's the true obscenity.
I am soo sick of this already! It amazes me there is still so much hoopla going on. It happened, slap those two on the hands, and forget about it already.
Well, sorry to be completely obnoxious here, but they are 'actors', don't get me started. If you want to slap anyone, go for mtv/cbs. For what, well, wait, I have to figure that out a bit.
So far, my main gripe is time slot. Nine year olds and their not-ready parents at dinner. This was really unprecedentedly offensive to some folks in that category.
I see it as a high ranking organized prank, with some obvious payoffs.
But there are families across the land who don't want to see this and had a perhaps silent contract that they wouldn't.
In the meantime, this all was not all so visible from stadium seats, unless the monitors were zoomed in - it was directed to the home early night US audience.
I am in the weird place of decrying essentially nothing for its organized placement.
A boob is just a boob. But what *really* interests me is the front-page headlines, commentary, spin, analysis, and sheer gossip around it! What the heck are we talking for?!
I don't even know who won the SuperBowl but I certainly know all about Janet Jackson now! My attention has been thoroughly manipulated that way.
The greatest event in recent mammary was obviously staged, with all the right apologies, choreographed to all the right people, so no one would lose their job or really suffer for it.
So what's fascinating to me is that the media machine still works! It still hooks millions of people onto performing choreographed discussions, with predictable arguments and predictable results. The media machine's power is STILL intact.
Perhaps GW can use the newest technique to sway the vote and start his next war. Shock the right people with some political cleavage, contrive a controversy, distract them over here and people will vote in very predictable ways over there.
So yes, it's good to keep abreast of the news.
But also how the news is used. How *we* are used.
IMO, it's the #1 resource to shape our society today.
And *that's* fascinating.
Good points. (Last two.)
I would imagine that as long as the parents didn't lose it, the really young kids wouldn't be fazed by it too much. From all the replays I've seen on t.v. the incident didn't last long. I don't dispute it was in poor taste and all that. I guess what bothers me is the misconceptions kids will get from this. I've often found that kids really do take a lot of their cues from parents. This incident happened, there is no taking it back. I would hope kids realize that the behaviour of Janet and Justin was not acceptable but that the naked female form (or parts of it) are not shameful.
I'm still finding the U.S./North American reaction funny.
If you've been reading European family magazines of the last 30+ years, there have been bare butts and bare boobs advertising all sorts of things. Usually in very witty ways. It's no big deal.
One partially exposed nipple that people might see, if they're trying really hard to see it - are Americans really that delicate?
