The good news is that just because it is likely that some one would be voted off, does not mean that would happen. Look at Amber a couple of episodes ago. To be honest the only two I would have a difficult time with winning is Shi Ann (sp?) or Jenna - only because they have not really done much. At least of the others whether you like them or not, I feel are deserving because of either physically or mentally are good players.
I liked Lex too. I also liked Ethan. I do think Lex made the best decisions booting off either Colby or Ethan, but I understand why he did. I personally think Rob is a bit of an arrogant ass, but can respect his athletic abilities and enjoy laughing at his antics. I also understand why Lex would not want to remain friends with Rob, but still fail to see the difference between booting Ethan and Lex. Ethan also thought his friendship with Lex was strong and was angry that Lex turned on him. And Lex stated in that instance that it wasn't the friendship, but it was the strategy of the game. Isn't that what Rob did? What was strategically best for him? I did not like either move, but heck it truly is a game.
Yes, it is. I guess what I had a problem with was that Rob induced Lex change to his position in reliance on a promise ("you take care of Amber and I'll take care of you"). Lex had his strategy in place but responded to a request from a friend and changed his whole game plan. (He admits now that this was unwise.) I think it was major "dirty pool" for Rob to turn on him after making him vulnerable. I think Rob planned to do this all along, myself.
Conversely, when Lex voted Ethan off, he did not try to trick Ethan into doing something that made Ethan vulnerable. He simply made the decision that he needed to separate himself from Ethan because as a former winner, Ethan had a target on his back. That's different to me.
But all's fair (or nothing has to be fair) in Survivor, right? I don't know why, but for some reason this move by Rob bothered me even more than Jonny Fairplay lying about his grandmother's death.
