Question to those who do or do not doubt Christianity

This is someone who told a female poster he masturbates while imagining her tied up in a dungeon. Someone who's natural response to hearing about someone arrested for viewing child pornography is not to feel sympathy for the victim but to go on about his computer security. Someone who regularly googles child porn and uses the same share ware as paedophiles. Someone who was thrown out of a park for going there with kittens to pick up children.

But because he's an Atheist like you he must be right. I don't need to know anything else about you, it's clear what you are.

I would have hoped that it was clear as to who I am based on past posts. I don't accepted what people say based on heresay. Based on all the post of yours that I have witnessed, I believe you to be nothing more than an ass. If what you say is founded on some shred of evidence then provide it, until then you will not sway my opinion. I may not like BillRM very much, but I like you much less...at least based on what I know so far. I'm ignorant enough to completely judge someone on the scarce information and understanding that I currently possess.

As far as your claims, I haven't seen any posts that indicate as such nor has BillRM given me any reason to find them remotely true (and not just based on his rebuttal to your first attack). It's a very simply concept and if you are a person with some shred of rationality you would understand where I am coming from on this. As an atheist it a pretty simple concept, proof = belief...simple right? So basically as of right now the only thing that is supporting your claims against BillRM is merely your word, so what value is your word to me at this time?

I really don't give a **** what you think. I've got far better things to do with my time than run through posts finding the evidence you want, but I'll humour you in this instance. You've clearly nailed your colours to the mast on this one. If you wish to associate yourself with Bill, then good luck to you.

Technically, I'm not fully converted. I just understand Spade's position better, now that I've had the chance to have a decent conversation with him.

Spade, if you want to see this as a miracle, I'm not going to stop you. I will say, though, while you haven't actually converted me, you have given me a reason to really dig into things and start a quest to find myself.

I'll also say that I am glad that by sharing my beliefs and doubts I can show just where I stand to those who may or may not understand more than I do, so that they can share advice that I may not have gotten or realized before.

If you have better things to do than run though posts then why have you done so twice?..well one and a half since it was the same thread. I thank you for humoring me in this, I dislike disagreements to simply left unresolved. I also do not understand your last sentence. Why must my disagreeance with you automatically indicate that I wish to associate myself with BillRM's way of thinking? How do you not know that based on the new evidence that you have shared that I would not side with you on such matters and was simply against the manner in which you approached this matter?

As far as the posts that you have linked, my mannerisms and etiquette do not agree with that, but I do not find it to be technically "immoral". From what you have linked i do see any indications that he plans to force anyone against there will to do such things. Who are we to judge someone's kinkiness if it brings them joy? Bondage, humilition, femdom, etc are not immoral if both parties involved consent to it. We may not agree with it but it doesn't make it "wrong".

Also to clarify, manners and etiquette are like a sub category of morality. Culture and belief's may dictate that some acts are wrong that are not neccesarily immoral because they are deemed inappropriate or for some other reason. For example, polygamy in the United States is viewed (for the most part) as wrong and immoral, yet it is not immoral in anyway. Polygamy promotes happy, health, and wellbeing and minimizes unneccessary harm and suffering. The prohibition of this actually only succeeds in doing the opposite, thus it is actually immoral to do so. I personally do not agree with polygamy but am not in opposition to it in anyway.

This, I'm afraid has nothing to do with consenting adults. This is Bill subjecting a female poster to sexual harassment. She definitely did not consent to being the subject of Bill's warped fantasies. If this was happening in the workplace he would be disciplined if not sacked. The fact that it's happening on a public forum doesn't make it any less reprehensible.

By the way, I'm not particularly bothered about what consenting adults get up to in their own bedrooms. Harassment, rape and abuse are not consensual.

If you are going to assume that this is BillRM harassing this woman then what is this tormenting hell that you are subjecting BillRM to? I find your offenses worse than BillRM's in the posts that you have indicated. The definition of harassment is: to irritate or torment persistently, based on her reaction to BillRM's comment, I didn't detect any signs of irritation or torment. In regards to your posts on this, numerous people have become irritated with you...not sure as to whether anyone is actually "tormented" but I doubt it.

Am I uderstanding you correctly that you do not want to discuss anything so long as my discussion may continue with izzy? I will discuss pretty much anything that you have your mind set on (although I prefer religion and philosophy). You do not have to participate in any discussion with or concerning izzy but don't let that stop you from talking about whatever else.

I had him on ignore for the reason that his posts never address the subject at hand and is a constant drumbeat of pointless personal attacks on myself that if I see them I get drawn into replying to.

By you and other playing with him in this regard I find myself drawn into once more wasting my time on this nut case.

Time and life is too short to allow nuts to dictated how you spend those seconds.

Well I think that I have made my point well enough to izzy that I no longer need to address it anyway without just being repetitive. So in order to accommodate you in this I will discontinue further discussion with him here. Since I've washed my hands of that we can continue on to other things, did you have a specific topic in mind?
