@dlowan,
The kittens are just doing their cat jobs. Being a feline ain't easy.

You sound active, but how do you feel?

@eurocelticyankee,
Everyone wants that cat.

I managed to lock Sebastian in my room all day while I was at work. This means NO LITTER TRAY!

I have searched and found no evidence....but I'm not ready to believe it.

The woollies obviously had fun though. All my scarves were knocked down and were in various stages of being dragged under the door. Some were piled up in the passage.

Could our little hero have managed to hold it? Didn't make any rush for the litter when he got out. Hmmmmmmmm.

Welcome to the weekend, Deb! (at last, at last!)
How are you going with that lethal medication?
And how are the woolly folk today?
I expect it's a peaceful, charming, contented scene in your household this Saturday lunch time ..... Smile

@msolga,
I stayed up really late watching Thornton Abbey DVDs.....after having crashed when I got home for several hours. So, having gone to bed in the morning I justnwoke up in the evening! Bizarre. Woollies appeared puzzled but contented.

Well thank heavens for that!
Give both of them a scritch under the chin from Aunty Olga.
Good kitties! Smile

Weird.

Yesterday was a weird day.

Got to work nice and early. We have meetings and ****...so I got up tp my office for the first time since I got sick at about 10 am. I started checking emails, then reached for the phone to start responding to everyone.

No phone.

I search desperately.....really, no phone.

Contact our business manager who doesn't respond. Deduce that my phone was moved by mistake to my new office....where I won't be until mid December.

I try to check in new office. Tacked me 45 minutes to find where a key to this office is. There is my phone....with many messages inndicated.

I decide it's worth experimenting to see if it will still work in my office.

In doing so I discover that the adaptor that made it possible to plug in phone in my office has been disappeared.

I make second attempt to find someone who is in charge of things like this. Eventually get hold of Wayne. He gives me an adaptor after I have searched in vain for his hidden office a long time. I trek back up to my office where I plug phone in. No service. By now it is 11.30. I am unable to do any work and admin keep sending me messages to call people.....although I informed them immediately I have no phone. I manage to sneak phones here and there to do some work

I call Wayne, who seems unable to work out what the problem might be. I inform our communications manager that logic suggests that my old line was switched off when the phone was moved and we need to get it switched back on. Wayne says he will try to ascertain if that is what happened by the end of the day, but warns me that he has no idea how long it will take to rectify the problem.

I email business manager for the third time, explaining that despite her reluctance to get involved I think she needs to be....especially as I actually need a phone to do my job, and we are going to decide what offices make the most sense for me to wander between until the problem is fixed.

This toads her into action and by the end of the day I have a mobile phone.

@dlowan,
Deb, I don't know which is more infuriating. That it happened or that it's not a big surprise that it happened. Sigh.

Please give the woollies a heavy-duty scritch from me.

deb, I'm not quite sure of the mechanism by which someone is toaded into action, but I'm enjoying the image.

So, are you going to tell us about the rest? Smile

Still sleeping a lot, Deb?
It sounds rather like that's what your body wants you to do.
Hopefully without the necessity of those pain killers too much any more.

@msolga,
Sleeping! Long periods of unconsciousness with vivid dreams is more like it!

Like yesterday....slept until after five thirty pm.....had to rush out and report Fridays accident to police....got home, fed cats, and slept until after midnight....decided to try and normalise things, so got up and did a few things....slept again until cats woke me for breakfast. Tried to stay up, but lapsed into unconsciousness again until after two pm. I could happily go to sleep again, but have to get dressed and go out.

I might add I have a horrid red rash around my lips and all over my chin, that looks EXACTLY like the results of an extended snogging session with a man with especially nasty stubble. Nice. Am putting all the rash creams I possess on it.

The last drug that induces sleep was taken on Friday night at about eight. It's now three seventeen pm Sunday. Talk about a lost weekend!

I'll talk about the bizarre accident later....have to rush.
