And such beautiful blue eyes.

@dlowan,
She's lovely. The giant ears are awesome.

If you can get a photo of Sebastian I'd be happy to post it (connection permitting of course but I've had an internet connection for about half an hour solid, which is a recent record, fingers crossed).

So glad that things seem to be calming down a bit!

@msolga,
That's misleading...she looks almost adult in that one! They're both actually quite small....

@sozobe,
I'm just putting them to bed...they discovered every surface in the living room tonight,...at speed...and my nerves are shattered.

He's so dark...and MATTE black, that he's more shadow than substance except against a light background in a bright light.

He could be a stealth ninja.

He has two loo poohs...so we now have two loos in here...I'll start training them to use a booda loo with a swinging door once they use the tray for that.

@dlowan,
After 10 years I've become familiar with many, many Ozzisms (and I thank you, sincerely, I think "pear-shaped" is the one I use most often in everyday conversation), but I have no idea what a "booda loo" is.

How much have they actually destroyed thus far?

@sozobe,
Booda loo isn't an australianism it's just a cat tray...very deep..with a top and a swinging door

It has carbon filters in the top

It has a soothing effect on humans

So far they have only broken my nerves!!!

I got a new scratching post/perch for Miranda and viola is showing her first signs of learning to scratch that not the carpet and furniture

So how is Miranda adjusting? Is she still growling? Has Viola been able to get close?

@Roberta,
No real chance this morning.

I got up at 6.20 am and have been interacting with kittens since. They have chosen to stay where I am which is in study. They were awake this morning when I came in, and had been active, so I am trying to tire them out for a long day, since I am back at work.

Miranda is under the quilt on the living room sofa (where we are both sleeping since the latest bed=wetting by her).

She settled ok last night...but growled when she smelt kitten on my jeans. She obviously knew it was us time when I put them to bed last night...and we explored her new post together and did a lot of chatting. She is eating and drinking...I am busily applying her nerve drops!

I will do a longer "let them interact at their own pace" thing when I get home tonight.

Miranda loves her new scratching post, which has two levels, as she is just beginning to find it a bit hard to jump straight up to the top level. Her old one has added great enrichment to the kittens when they are locked in the study, and they love the new one too.

They are interesting in the different courage that they have.

Sebastian is the obviously confident one. He tends to explore the new spaces, Viola follows...but she is the one who knowingly braves Miranda. Sebastian just freezes! I had to rescue him yesterday when he had inadvertently landed almost on top of Miranda, and she was threatening him. I don't think she would hurt them...she hit Viola, but Viola hit her first!

Of course they are ignoring all bought toys, except for a couple...so I am experimenting with various bits of paper and stuff.

They are loving what is to them a long gallop down my corridor....

Their huge bellies have gone down...but they are still producing more pooh than can possibly be explained by what I observe going in to them!!!

Probably put Miranda's incontinence sheet on bed tonight and move back there. Sadly, she peed on the (fortunately much cheaper) pillow I had bought to replace the two she destroyed last time!!!

@dlowan,
Man...I was warned about the high activity levels of these cats...but is it ever true.

They just go and go and go. It's interesting how they are increasingly playing with each other. I imagine there were so many kittens at home (two litters born on the same day) that no two ever interacted in an extended way.sxdddddddddddddddddhjuiollllllllp-078\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\i

Sebastian slowing down and wanting to smooch then.

He changed the font size and "look" of A2k that time...I wonder what he did?

Now he has discovered the arrow thing and is trying to chase the cursor on the screen.

I'll have to discourage that!

He loves watching TV.

Perhaps he managed to hit Control and + at the same time?

@tsarstepan,
Oh? Thank you.

Ok....Miranda and Viola almost touched noses. Miranda began spitting and growling at the last second, and Viola, just, respected the message.

I love Miranda! She is clearly gradually accepting the new order (crossed fingers)

For such an old pussycat, that is amazing.

And Viola is a little wonder at pushing contact at just the right speed.

Active kittens. Green with envy.

Snarly, growly older cat. Brings back memories.

They're all adjusting. Good.

Concerned about the computer interest. Save, deb, save. My Miranda once deleted half a chapter of a book I was writing. Sat there looking smug when I got back to the computer.

Just thought I'd throw in that I think you're handling things like a champ. A wise and caring champ.

Study intact, though kittens were roosting in computer desk when I got home.

Sigh...another evening in the feline asylum.
