@dlowan,
I'm not margo, but I think this cat could keep up with Thomas.

Now that statement, in perfect quintessence, is why you need a cat.

I agree that Thomas needs a cat! It would certainly improve his understanding of the world and those in it!

C'mon USians - get to work!

Indeed. Reality. He would have to grasp the raw, messy, bloody, perverse beating heart and soul of reality, as opposed to the tidy specimen thereof on the doctor and logician's desk.

Mind you....I don't really want him to change, except in the occasional argument.

I'm not sure that Thomas is felinially inclined.

How about a PC like this one?

@dlowan,
Hearts actually aren't bloody, messy, and perverse. Only brains sometimes are.

On a related note, Goethe's drama Faust makes your point in the line: "Grey, dear friend, is all theory, and green is the golden tree of life". Whenever I hear that I want to cry out: "Green or golden? Make up your mind already!" Then I remember that the character who says that is devil himself. Of course he's trying to mess with Faust, the reputable Ph.D! Cats must be much like the devil that way.

@Roberta,
I like Roberta's cat. He looks like he's barking.

We rest our case.

You can't have the barking cat. It would kill you!

@dlowan,
Viola has finally learned to love the play tunnel!!

It took me getting down and playing with Sebastian in it for some tome....and then...WHOOSH!... She was right in amongst it.

This is good news since enormous amounts of energy are expended by both of them in tunnel play!

Contrary to Thomas's assertion, I think his and Roberta's rather large cat is yawning, rather than barking (note the closed eyes), so for his very tired cat, and for dlowan, who perhaps needs a cat lullaby to slow hers down, here are Sheldon and Penny from "Big Bang Theory" and Darth Vader singing "Soft Kitty"

@MontereyJack,
Oh my!

Call it mere coincidence if you will, but Viola leapt onto the iPad during the big bang version of soft kitty and made it go full screen!

Didn't appear impresed with Darth Vader's version though.

Man...could they use a good lullaby at night.

@dlowan,
In other news...Sebastian has finally discovered that he can go UNDER the quilt and get Viola to attack him from on top.

I suspect this means my quiltsnwill need replacing more often, but any exciting and exhausting game that doesnt involve major destruction is a Good Thing.

I have regretfully decided the lovely art deco house in Lobethal is too far from my haunts and therefore too isolating and said no.

Am busy refinancing to give myself a breather, though can't get the Evandale place outnof my head.

That's because you're an intelligent person.

Sure hope that you come home to a couple of woolly angels resting peacefully in the middle of a perfectly intact, clean home. I'm not saying that's super likely, but I'll hope.

Right decision on Lobethal. Social isolation is a real issue!

Evandale - quite reasonable - not too far out!
