@Roberta,
No face to face.

I am just about to go out and have some Miranda time.

The kittens had half my chicken...have bulging tummies...and STILL haven't used the litter tray!!!

You know, I am thinking Viola and Sebastian from Twelfth Night.

Oh wow! Sebastian just used the litter tray!!!

He is much more "handy" than Siamese...uses his paws a lot like hands...strokes you and does lots of face smooching. Utterly charming.

Oh, yay! Everyone is home and settling. I hope Miranda decides she likes her new siblings. It took our white boy a few days to accept his brothers but they all got on well after a bit.

Will we see pics soon?

@dlowan,
I love Viola and Sebastian! (As names, but the kitties sound lovable too, especially Sebastian.)

So happy that the news is good so far... thanks for all the updates. Fingers crossed!

deb, I like those names a lot. Not only do they seem right for the cats you described, but they're from the Bard, Ole Will.

Waiting for more news.

We all survived the night

I spent it smooching with Miranda

Came in this morning to find study pulled apart and an anxious looking Sebastian all alone

He took a little while to remember me, but soon settled back into his special manner of smooching, which is to lick my hands and face, then start chewing on me

Viola came out and they both ate and ate and ate!

She is still more nervous and withdrawn, but slowly warming up

The best way to describe the coat is to say they are like kittens with the coat of lambs

They have Marcel waved lambs wool coats on!

Much more rounded and fatter than Siamese of the same age

Their little bellies are very chubby!

They are intensely curious and are exploring everything to the nth degree

Sebastian just spent some minutes trying to eat my glasses

Both are exploring and then coming back to check with me

Wondering if we are ready to chance meeting Miranda?

@dlowan,
Just had them both asleep on my chest

I think viola is dominant

Real purrs at last...though they both seem a bit snuffly, maybe from the flight

I had forgotten the dreaded kitten breath!

@dlowan,
Kitten said Iowa!

Maybe she wants to visit Swimpy?

(So glad the first night went reasonably well -- just how torn apart was your study, though?)

@ehBeth,
What Beth said

Miranda NOT happy

Well, that was a surprise wasn't it?

At present I, and a very grumpy miranda are holed up on the study sofa...Miranda under rug with head sticking out. Viola lying on back of sofa by my head, Sebastian out exploring house

Miranda growls and spits whenever kittens come near

A bloke is coming to do a quote soon so I have to move

Not sure whether to give them some separation or leave them to work it out a bit!

@dlowan,
I think I would help Miranda establish clear limitations on how the kittens can behave around her by acting as her proxy.

Unless Miranda gets dangerously aggressive I'd just let her do her thing.
