@Thomas,
Able to cut Viola's claws last night! A brief struggle with the first one, but she relaxed completely as soon as she realised it didn't hurt.

I don't think the ear cleaning fluid is going to meet with the same reception. These cats get waxy ears.

@dlowan,
debbele, Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this thread. Love hearing about the day-to-dayness of kittenness. Love hearing about the different personalities as they are revealed. Love hearing about how you are coping and dealing with them. Love not hearing about the smelly poop.

@dlowan,
Oh my.

Came home tonight and found kittens not in study, but in living room.

Discovered I had left door from bathroom into study open, but closed the door from corridor, which is the one the woolies are used to using.

It was clear from the used trays in the study that woollies had taken a while to find the open door.

Then they had obviously forgotten how to get back.

How do I know this?
Because someone had clearly needed to pee.

Where had they peed?

On the empty 30 liter kitty litter bag which I had left out for them to play with!

This is large and two ply.

Pee hadn't made it through, but was pooled safely on the paper.

GOOD woollies!

Or wooly.

Oh...and the stove element that I began worrying that I had left on just before I got to work was indeed on. Grrrrrrrrr........

Nothing destroyed.

Woollies quite anxious when I got home.....maybe not ablento get to Loo, or the change in routine.

Poor woollies.

@dlowan,
A day of drama for the woollies!

I'll bet you're spoiling them silly tonight as compensation.

And why not? Smile

@msolga,
I gave them real chicken for dinner....but they have turned their noses up.

Sebastian just helped me hang my new over the top bronze mata hari shower curtain from Amazon.

He was in the bath.

Viola looked on...I think she thinks it a bit too too.

@dlowan,
They turned their noses up at chicken? Surprised
Strange, very strange ...
But perhaps it hasn't been a regular part of their diet till now?

They are such good little helpers, aren't they? Smile

@msolga,
It was funny.

Sebastian loves water related things in the place.

Tonight he really wanted to jump into the bath but I think its whiteness and curvedness interfered with his depth perception, because he hesitated for ages on the edge....caught in perfect balance between desire and fear.

He was mewing to express his tension.....

Finally took the leap!

@msolga,
The bath was empty!

I was hanging the new shower curtain.

He might end up in the water though, he seems very fascinated.

@dlowan,
Oh right.

All you'd need on a night like this would be a soaking wet cat to dry off!

Blow dryer.

That'd test our relationship

Viola just had one of her ecstasy fits

Now everyone is going to sleep

Sebastian is often as alert as a guard dog. He acts like he's a poor little pussy cat all alone in the jungle surrounded by predators.

He's kind of nuts.

@sozobe,
Thank you!

Maybe I could turn this into one of those "salvationed by a miracle puddy tat" books that are so popular right now and get rich?

Only I can't figure out what they'd save me from? Having the apartment smell good and look nice?
