@farmerman,
Thank you for those happy suggestions.

They catch spiders if that helps?

@dlowan,
Oh good grief. Woollies chirpy today because, after over a month here, I am STILL surrounded by boxes of stuff. They like it when I am emptying them as they like to play in them, of course, being cats.

I finally have a little living space in the living room!

The giant cat wheel is in very frequent use but I have not found poor sebastian's beloved ripple rug!!!

@dlowan,
I wonder if Nermal would like a ripple rug.

@roger,
Is he active? Sebastian loves me to play with him in his....it's super interactive.

He also loves to scrabble, hide and sit on it.

@dlowan,
I worry about that when I've run out of other things to worry about. He's only about 13, but does seem to be slowing down and getting more affectionate. Going outside isn't quite as imperative as it used to be. I do think he's a bit past his prime.

@dlowan,
Sebastian succumbed, at about 3.00 am this morning, to what I can only characterize as an episode of existential pain.

I say this because he woke me by walking on my head, hooting mournfully, and had to be literally hugged back to sleep. I was still clutching him tightly when my alarm scared both of us to death a couple of hours after I finally got back to sleep.

Oh dear. Tell him I love him. I know he doesn't know me, but still...

@ossobucotemp,
He's way too mercurial, that cat!

@dlowan,
That boy is demanding. Poor baby (both of you).

Sigh. How I miss the days when a feline would walk on my head. Breathe into my eye just to check if I was in there. And throw his body up against the door. I want in. Ah, the olden days.

@Roberta,
They finally got one of my hearing aids. From a closed drawer! Must have left it open a fraction. Viola obsssively sticks her teeny paws in there if she can. I can't find it.

Luckily I'm picking up a new pair on Friday.

@dlowan,
Bad news, but I'd be willing to bet the new one is much, much better.

It's over in the corner, in the box, just like the other stuff you eventually found, eventually Smile

@dlowan,
You can kiss that baby good-bye. Glad you have another pair coming. I used to put everything in drawers. Sometimes it helped; sometimes it didn't.

Felines. Rarely dull. Occasionally not aggravating.

@Roberta,
New hearing aids arrived...life is noisy. I am going to find that lost one!

Apparently lots of pets are obsessed with wanting to play with hearing aids.

In other news, viola has taken to biting my feet!

@dlowan,
Poor Sebastian has cabin fever in the teeny apartment I am renting. Actually, it wouldn't be that teeny if it were not for the boxes stacked everywhere

Anyway, here's tonight.

I get home.....Sebastian needs an extended love fest before he will eat.

He eats. He then needs a long play session

He settles

Later he is howling, demanding another long play session. I do my best to wear him out.

He wears me out.

He bellows for more.

He goes and gallops frenziedly on their wheel.

He comes back to me and bellows.

He attacks Viola and chases her. Sound of viola screaming blue murder and hurling abuse at him, as well as thudding all around the apartment.

He comes back to me and bellows

Repeat last action.

I think he may have settled

Hey deb, I'm green with envy. But since you're such a good kid, I have the following message for Sebastian: Give the bunny a break.
