@dlowan,
I know it's correct Catly loving behaviour, but I wish I could convince Viola that I am able to wash my own face!

@dlowan,
Dem rough cat tongues can act as a a replacement for dem fancy shmancy epidermal washes that take off the layer of dead skin cells. Far superior to dog face licking. Their smooth tongues don't take off nothing. I bet youi prefer soap and water. What a conventional goil.

BTW, I love this thread big time. It reminds me of the old days when I had pets. Makes me smile with the memories. Granted, you kvetch about a lot of things that didn't bother me (a rare occurrence, indeed). But you're you and I'm me.

@Roberta,
Reasons to be cheerful.

Sebastian has been awfully quiet today....hope he's ok.

@Roberta,
Viola finally found the courage to get up onto the curtain rod she's been desperate to manage ever since Sebastian started doing it.

She immediately fell off, just as I knew she would.

She's fine though.

She's one determined little girl.

@Roberta,
Livened up....fairly vomitous, but he generally is. Still a bit quieter than usual.

I'm in Basel, Switzerland, where I'm getting my cat fix. The house cat is very vocal and craves attention.
Germany was a total cat free zone!

And we just won the cricket. Big grin!

@margo,
Recovering from the other day. On a night when I had great difficulty sleeping the woollies kept me awake by galloping around the house until 2.00 am.

At 5.00 am they decided to begin again......adding dive bombing my recumbent and angst ridden body on each wild circuit of the house.....until my alarm went off at 7.00.....they also decided that jumping onto the pillow near my face and attempting to drag my eyelids open at unpredictable intervals was a truly fun thing to add to the other torments. And breathing heavily at me.

I totally ignored this appalling behaviour. In all previous cats this has been sufficient to extinguish such antics.

Oh for a phaser to set on stun.

@dlowan,
Rather odd new toy.

Old Da Birds lose their intense enticement so I bought some little, but remarkably tough, cardboard aircraft and have attached them to old Da Birds.......result is renewed excitement.

There is a very King Kong on the top of the Empire State Building feel about it all as Sebastian hurls himself at the tiny planes in Nijinsky leaps....often from the tower of my knees. Viola loves them too......often waiting on the floor and appearing suddenly in the air above the mattress as she leaps for her prey.

Viola's heart tests happened on Saturday ....murmur no worse, which is good news.

Have you considered mistreating Viola just a little bit so she doesn't love you so much?
