@dlowan,
dlowan, thanks for the advice esp. "escape proof harness" and not 'forcing' (if that's possible... actually I'm sure it's impossible) the harness onto a cat that just doesn't want one... all part of why I'm attracted to cats as pets/companions.

I miss my 18 years of companionship with 'Sunny' Sad that's life! Smile

deb, I saw the Celtic accordionist Sharon Shannon last night. This is her video of at least six of her rescued dogs almost out of their minds with joy galloping to the beach on a field trip. Which instantly reminded me of you and S&V galloping along the boardwalk at the seaside. Now I don't really expect to see Sebastian swimming out to sea to retrieve a thrown bottle, but this does raise the question: WHERE'S YOUR VIDEO?

@ehBeth,
I think that's the best video I've ever seen.
(I was lucky this time, adobe flash didn't boot me out).

So wonderful, thank you, MontereyJack.

Cute dog stuff!

I'm ok. Sick of the damn ligament. Bought some plants before I hurt it. They really HAVE to go in the ground, so did two yesterday. Ouchies!

However, I can breathe fine!

@Roberta,
Heh heh heh.

It's ok.....Viola has gone nutso and just attacked my knee with gusto. I am punished for my presumption oh queen of the kvetch!

Lucky I clipped those claws already...guess I might have to figure out how to file the teeth down.

Egad, she's well on the gad! Tearing round like a.....hmm, what DOES tear around madly? Other than cats in mad hour?

The attack on my knees is sometimes painful, but it's too damn CUTE to really discourage. This will all end in tears, you mark my words.

@dlowan,
I remember with great fondness the cat nutso stuff. It was fine with Miranda (12 pounds) and Patty (7 pounds). Not so fine with Mikey--over 20 pounds. He was a big boy.

@Roberta,
Woot...what a cat day! I was pretty inactive today because of the soreness from the accident that resulted in the black eye.

So.....got up to feed cats. ...who had been competing for snuggle space next to me because it was a cold night. Went back to bed to read and slept until 1.20 in the afternoon!!!! Couldn't believe it. Sebastian and Viola then did a two hour mad time......I haven't dared to look too far for damage! Viola then insisted on loving me until I was, frankly, ready to leave home! sounds odd, but it gets annoying after a while but she looks so sad if I stop her.

Then went to shops....completely forgot about black eye and couldn't figure out why I was being stared at! I was considering clients and went and got some concealer, but forgot locals would also tend to assume I'd been beaten up! how embarrassing.

@dlowan,
You've got a black eye after all this time? Wow. I had a black eye after the brain surgery. Let 'em stare, I say.

Not offering any sympathy on your being overloved. Tough noogies.

@Roberta,
Accident happened on Thursday....I've had one since Friday.

Sebastian was caught red pawed raiding my fish oil capsule container for toys.

They love those damn capsules!

@Roberta,
Given that Sebastian CAUSED the one before, a few weeks ago, I am not sure about the watching over!

Can't blame woollies for this one.
