Yeah, I understand a lot of cats like to play FMM (Frustrate My Mom). Good on ya for playing along with her.

@MontereyJack,
Whoa! These cats have mouths of steel!

I just had dinner....a salad with home grown basil, Vietnamese mint and a mighty hot little chili...all from the pot on my balcony. It also contained tuna, lettuce and tomato.

I am still recovering from the chilli!

Viola and Sebastian are scarfing up the remains....apparently without pain.

Well, there's a fair bit of Siam in both of them.

@Rockhead,
This thought has definitely occurred.....however, I can only hope that their bottoms are as tough as their mouths!

Viola did back away for a bit and think...but then she went back. They have licked the plate completely clean and dry.

One awaits developments.

@dlowan,
Smile

They'll probably enjoy sharing your next Thai curry, Deb!

(I hope there aren't dire consequences as a result of this episode.)

@msolga,
They've had a number of curries....but not really hot ones.

@dlowan,
My cat's culinary preferences seem so boring compared to Viola & Sebastian's!
She just eats cat food & chicken wings.

@msolga,
Well, they didn't finish their peas last night, when they had the remnants of my dinner.....but they ate their beans and broccoli.

They do have a wide ranging palate. I wonder if it's a breed thing or a them thing?

Their passion for fruit amazes me most.

Interesting. It might be a breed thing.
Their tastes in food seem quite different to most cats I've known.
If only more cats would eat their greens! Smile

@dlowan,
At one time, I had a German Shepherd that was quite fond of tomatoes. Oddly, some of them grew through her fence in the backyard and she wouldn't touch them. You could pick one and roll it in, though, and she was on it like a tick on a dawg. It wasn't pretty.

I've heard of coon hounds and rabbit hounds and possum hounds, but never a tomato hound before.

@roger,
Our girldog is a tomato hound.

We've had a few incidents of her thieving them from neighbours' gardens.

@dlowan,
no grapes or certain berries, it can cause kidney failures in cats and dogs

@farmerman,
no grapes or raisins, which makes the oldmandog sad as he used to love an occasional bit of muesli toast

@ehBeth,
And like Viola, she's kissy and cuddly too. For her, love is almost as good as tomatoes.

@MontereyJack,
She didn't hound them. She sort of shepherded them around, and then ate them.
