Yeah, its pretty capable. Spartan, but capable. Tell ya one thing, though; if ya do get that puppy stuck, the only thing that can extract it is the The Cat!

Experience talkin', here. Rolling Eyes

Bright and sunny today, 3º F, little if any wind. The fresh snow on the fields is absolutely brilliant. This is from about an hour ago.

Went for beautiful long nighttime walk with the pups in the fresh snow (only about half a foot at the deepest spots) last night. Mid-20s, which is feeling damn warm these days. Dogs flopping their low chests through shovel piles instead of sticking to the sidewalk. Love it.

Smile

The lakes must be frozen by now -- have you been out there yet? (Especially at night...)

Yeah, I've been around them a bit. Gotta say, though -- I'm not used to seeing cross-country ski tracks on a lake. Maybe next year...

Someone's put a sculpture of the capitol out on Lake Monona near the Terrace.

Want to go out this weekend and take a roll of photos of those giant metal ostrich sculptures over by Willy. Good stuff, especially with the vapors from the plant across the road rising up behind them...

Yeah, well, even if I do it, I prolly won't develop the film for another couple of years. I'm not very motivated about these sorts of things. When I was 20 I spent seven weeks backpacking around Europe. Only shot five rolls of film. Only three of them made it home. None of the pictures remain.

Do want to incorporate the big metal birdies into a collage cover for a mix cd I'm working on for somebody, so maybe it'll actually happen...

(I take it you know the big birds, then? Hard to miss, they is...)

The last 2 days have been absolutely beautiful. The sun shining and snow melting. It was heaven. Now with that being said, we are getting rain, freezing rain and snow tomorrow :-(

No rain today, cloudy though and chilly at 44F -- it did get up to 48 before the sun went down. I went over to cheer up my neighbor who moved here to be closer to his daughter. He's from California and always compares this to the weather in Oakland. He hates to be cold. He turned 84 last week. You'd think somebody that age could do just what he wanted. Maybe he is doing what he wants and just likes to complain about the weather?
