Right. We're so far behind getting this system delivered that we're taking turns working a late shift. This is not gonna be fun. Especially tomorrow.
Another beautiful day in Super Bowl City; today's high hit 72, clear and sunny.
That's Chamber of Commerce weather for the opening of Super Bowl ceremonies and parties.
It'll go down to the mid-thirties tonight, with more of the same forecast tomorrow.
Where is Super Bowl City? Not that I really need to know. The only thing I'm excited over regarding the Super Bowl is knowing the next Survivor premieres after the game is done!
Shovelled when I got home from work. Have to go shovel again.
My boots aren't dry from the last time.
Oh well, I love it most of the time.

H-Town. Space City. Astro-Sprawl. The Big Greasy.
Deep-In-The-Hearta.
Still wonderin', capri?
49 degrees F on my back porch right now, w/ some gusty wind.
Still that is STILL as cold as the ring around a well-digger's ..... here in beautiful New York City... 17 freezingass cold degrees here. two weeks in the below 32 percentile... jeesh.
Coe-rectamundo.
This kind of trivia could possibly come in handy for a Suvivor Challenge, or something. You never know...

Is that little Paco there, sitting beside you, watching out for you?
Pat him on the head for me.
The Big Greasy. Should I ask? How that one came about? The rest I understand.
It must feel really good there to enter a nice warm room...
Hi, PDiddie! Yeah, except he is lying down and snoring right now, too damn cute he is.

For the shovelling and dog-related trips outside, can I recommend Columbia's slip-on duck boots to you? Completely waterproof, ridiculously long, and can be put on or taken off in two seconds. I love me Columbia Titanium duck boots, mmm hmmm.
the water was fine, and the waves were just right. no need to torment the freezin' a2ker's further.

There's a thin sheet of ice on everything outside, making driving very hazardous...the salt trucks are working on the main roads...another snow storm is on it's way...I'm warm as long as I'm inside.
Still have power...yea! Sun should come out tomorrow to start melting the ice.

Power expected to be back on by 3 p.m.
CURTIS RUSH
STAFF REPORTER THESTAR.COM
Major offices, including police headquarters and city hall, are in the dark this morning.
“The feed from Hydro One to our transformer station at Bay St., north of Queen, has been interrupted and it’s taken out most of the central downtown,” said Blair Peberdy, spokesperson for Toronto Hydro.
Hydro One spokesperson Daffyd Roderick said the problem originated at the Terawley transmission station, west of Bay and north of city hall.
One transmission circuit was out for scheduled maintenance and the second backup circuit failed about 11 a.m., Roderick said.
The cause of the circuit failure isn’t known, but it had nothing to do with the weather, he said.
“It’s not the snow or the ice,” he said. “We’re not sure why.”
Crews have been on the scene since 11 a.m. and Roderick said it’s expected power will be out for three hours.
Traffic lights are out as well. Motorists are warned to treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
Other outages were reported at the Eaton Centre and the University of Toronto.
Businesses in the downtown core from College St. to Queen St. and University Ave. to Victoria St. are in the dark.
I'm just listening to radio interviews with people who are sitting in their offices, with their coats on - with no lights, no heat, no elevator service. Subway service interrupted. Yup. It's gonna be a good trip home.
peppermintPDog - i'll look into those Columbia boots. I thought I had boots that covered every contingency, but drifts that are between my knees and hips were a bit of a surprise. I'm gonna pull out my cross-country ski gaiters tonight.
Saturday, snow changing to freezing rain in the daylight, then sun in the afternoon to turn it all to slush. Sunday, freezing overnight to make the slush treacherous, then four inches of snow. Monday, freezing rain in the morning (so as to coat the jeep with ice after all the trouble i'd gone to Sunday to clean it off). Today, drizzle, freezing rain, and warmer temperatures, to increase the chance of flooding.
Ah, winter . . . it's all good, ain't it?
