Remember how I was confused about how it was SO cold but apparently only 25? Well, the batteries were dead on our thermostat, and we HAD NO HEAT! That got pretty wicked overnight. When E.G. finally sussed the problem in the morning and replaced the batteries, it said 52 degrees. (Inside the house, mind you.) Brrrr....

Pueo, if you come to Arizona in the summer, be sure to drink lots of water. Every summer, tourists die because they don't realize how quickly they can become dehydrated. Not like the Philipines, but beautiful--I grew up in Tucson.

It almost got above 0 here a couple times the past few days, but the sub-zero streak promises to last into at least the middle of next week. Great ice fishing weather ... if you take the necessary precautions to keep the beer from freezing.

Don't mind me, I'm more confuzzled than I realized. (Long night with sick kid who insisted the only way to sleep was with my arm as a pillow. Ow.)
